Yeah, but the question now is it refurbished or not? I wouldn't want refurb even at that price...

I just ordered the 13N6805 for $34.50 plus T&S. Came to $51.72. It appears to be in stock not a 2-4 week wait.

I plan to use it to replace the 20GB in my external enclosure so it should work quite well.

just tried twice. confirmation page didnt come up. first time it froze on Processing Order page and kicked me back to CC# page and 2nd time it displayed an error page saying "Page you are trying to reach cannot be displayed"

I dunno if my orders went through. I guess I will have to wait and see...

I saw this the first time it was up about 4 days ago or so, however I have serious doubts as many others on SD and FW that it's just the HDD assembly and not the HDD itself...

yeah i wouldn't use it for anything important but it would make a nice drive to put in an external enclosure.

if they are like dell refurbished it could just mean that it came out of a returned laptop that was stripped and they just can't sell it as new.

80gb 5400rpm - even if it was refurb that's a great deal. I bit on one of the Hitachi's after all I've been looking for an hdd lately for my laptop (that I bought without one). I bought a 40gb 4200rpm for $35 shipped on the FS forum but I guess that one might be thrown back up forsale if this comes.

I wonder if when it says tray assembly it just means that it also includes the tray that the hard drive mounts in, my dell is like that, the hard drive mounts to a tray then you slide the tray in and secure it with 2 screws. I've looked the part number up everywhere and they all say that it is the hard drive but i can't find a picture to see if it is in a tray.

Edit: also if this was only a tray, why would they specify 80GB... it would fit any capacity drive

Exactly; google the model # you'll get the hdd only every place.

Forgive my ignorant tangent here, but what's with all the Hot Deals credit-nazis? Why does it matter that some unfamiliar username at FW posted it and it's reposted here? Is he gonna sue you or something? What's to say HE didn't rip it from somewhere else? Isn't viral relaying how most hot deals get communicated?

Not jumping on sisq0kidd here, but rather the individuals like lzpoof, whose snide remarks make sisq0's repeated disclaimers seem necessary.

Agreed. 99% of the hot deals on here are ripped off from FW and SD all the time. Those people (besides the few fanatics that actually look and find the deals themselves) rip it from other places as well...

I had to keep submitting my order about 20 times to get it. But it finally went through. And I only got the email from the attempt that went through, so fortunatly I didn't get 20 orders suddenly I understand its working pretty good at the moment since everyone is asleep

If you order the "13N6793" for $37 you will get a Fujitsu drive. If you order the 13N6805 for $34.50 you will get the Hitachi (HGST) Travelstar 5K80.

Both are 5400 rpm, 8MB cache. The 5K80 is rated very high for performance in its' class and runs relatively quiet. I am not very familiar with the Fujitsu drives.

I'ts a matter of courtesy. I appreciated the credit because I posted it on FW at work just before I was leaving to go home Friday afternoon. I didn't have much time to post this in all hot deal forums I visit.

Also, I did NOT rip this deal from someone else. Like I said in FW, I was trying to order a much smaller hard drive and the IBM parts rep suggested me the 80GB model for $37. I ordered it and posted it after I received the drive.
