Unknown if sleeve or ball bearing from the description. I googled the model number of the fan and nothing came up. Still, I ordered $70 worth of case fans. I must be nuts. Shipping on my order came out to about 50% of the price, so about $0.25 ea, so $0.75ea shipped.

Edit: I found the specs, these are ball-bearing fans!!! This is a scorching deal!

Edit: Fans are now $0.75ea before shipping.

Lowest shipping for 4 fans was $5.91. Around $2/fan isn't bad, but I decided to pass. If you are ordering a boat load like the OP, or ordering some other stuff, shipping will be an almost non factor, making these a steal. Thanks for the heads up OP.

There's some new information that these fans may not actually be ball-bearing fans. If you take one out of the package and look at the Young Lin Tech sticker on the back, it says:
Young Lin Tech Co., LTD
DC Brushless Fan
Model: DFS802512M

Apparently, if you google that model number you come up hits for other fans from this same OEM, and they are sleeve-bearing.

So something funny is going on here, perhaps Vastech Inc. is pulling a fast one on the specs.

I received my shipment of fans the other day, so I'll peel off the decal and see if it's a bushing or bearing.

Anybody interested in a group order to save on shipping? I can take the lead if you agree or anyone who wants to. I just want 10 pcs or maybe 20 pcs but we need at least 50 pcs to hit the unit cost at no more than $1 each. lmk.

Ever try to lift an office chair off the ground using a tethered power line attached to 150 80mm fans?

If you're in CA like me, 15.00 for 15 in the Bayarea shipped by UPS Ground including tax. If you're in Southern CA, it's around 16.00 for 15 fans. If you order 20, it's <a buck apiece.

edit:
Actually when I order from these guys, I pickup by will call. No shipping at all.

Well it's not like the fans ever expire... so having a bunch of spares would be nice. 150 is still a ton though, so maybe resell somewhere? Maybe he owns a shop or builds PCs so he'd use quite a few over time?

Thanks for the info. After computing and re-computing, I ordered 20 pcs and the unit cost ended up being just a few cents over a $1 each. Not bad.

These fans use a bushing and not a ball bearing. They are fairly quiet and overall a hot deal IMHO.
