as long as you will except the fact that my board undervolts .06v....I boosted it to get 1.51v actual....

1.6a 5/16/02
2400 (150fsb) only what I tested...and only tested in win98
Epox 4BDA
1.51v
mbm5.1.9.1 & sissoft sandra (puts cpu vcore in aux spot but it list the same as mbm)

Maybe could have done more considering I do 2.67ghz with 1.66v actual....about the only thing I have better then thugs!!! Wish I had his temps!!!

yes Duvie, your point is one of the reasons for this survey.

if you have the time - please do just a few tests and tell us the true default scores.

Eh, you guys already know....
but

P IV 1.8.. package date 06/10/02
Tested fine, rock stable at 18x133mhz =2.4Ghz
Using Gigabyte 8IRXP with the f6 bios
The voltage is oscillating between 1.5 and 1.52 V
I am using Gigabyte EasyTune 4 (ver 1.0.0.1) as a hardware monitor (it is a very nice software btw)

Edit : it may be that it is stable at 140 at default, but I didn't try that yet....

maybe you should state what stable means?
what test should be passed under X hours?

Prime95, time varies according to the person. I call mine stable if it runs for at least an hour when I'm testing, but when I get to the speed that I'm going to keep it, I'll let it go all night (I want to be sure it's stable).

My three cents...

You guys are gonna laugh at me, but..

P4 2.53GHz - 5/16/02

2.85GHz (150MHz FSB)

Asus P4T533-C

1.55v (vcore is set to "Auto" in the BIOS)---My Asus P4T533-C tends to overvolt the processor by about .05v at all times, no matter what the voltage

Asus Probe v2.1

Anyway, if my motherboard could do higher than 150FSB, I'm sure that my 2.53GHz could take me to 3GHz, but until someone hacks the BIOS or Asus updates my BIOS to support more FSB speeds, I'll never know.

1) 1.6A - 4/18/02
2) 2133mhz / 133fsb (I haven't tested between 133-150fsb, laziness )
3) Asus P4B533-E
4) 1.55v
5) Asus PCProbe v2.1609

jbond04, I'm not laughing, I think that's a respectable overclock with default voltage on a cpu with such a high multiplier.

Hmm,
The prime95 seems to be one of the best testing programs out there..
Just run it for a couple of minutes and enjoy your CPU temerature skyrocketing....
This is from stress.txt in Prime's folder

Q) How long should I run the torture test?

A) I recommend running it for 24 hours. The program has been
known to fail only after several hours of operation. In most
cases though, it will fail within a few minutes on a flaky machine.

I am working on my own benchmark, really it was my extra credit assignment for school. It is kinnda short and simple, most of you would be able to run it in about 10 to 15 seconds...
The main advantage is that it is so generic, it will be possible to run it on ANY PLATFORM
The windows version is done with a high precision timer implemented.. Mac and Unix versions are almost done.....
PM me if interested.....
Eh, the main goal is to create a first "universal" benchmark...... It will be possible to compare Unix workstation to Mac, to Windows based PC.. work is still in progress...

1) 1.6a - 05/01/02
2) 138 fsb or 2208mhz
3) BD7II-Raid (enabled raid)
4) 1.46
5) Winbond hardware doctor (MBM still has glitches to figure out on this board)

1. 5/16/02
2. 2.4 (I haven't pushed my cpu beyond 150FSB)
3. Abit BG7
4. 1.47V
5. Winbond

Abit boards tend to undervolt. That's why it's 1.47V instead of 1.5V.

Hi, I'm very new with this overclocking thing and trying to learn as much from you guys as possible. One thing I don't understand is that I too is thinking about getting the Asus p4b533 mobo but it only supports pc 2100 and lower DDR. I noticed that you have this mobo but are using pc3000. Does the board support that? again, I'm not very familiar with this stuff and only go by manufacturer's specs.

1.8A - 1/14/02
1.998 GHz
MSI 845 Ultra-ARU
1.45V
PC Alert 3

My Woody is just too early of a package date to go very far on default voltage. However, at 1.71 applied volts, it's rock stable at 2.52 GHz.
