I'll assume Nvidia will make this card widely available and not in some limited supply so please bump this thread when you find the card on retail sites! I have my money ready..just have to find the card! Luckily I found someone who will buy my x1800xt so I'm good to go.

So far all 8800 GT's are PNY and most of them are out of stock or list discountinued or do not order. Well see what happens next week with EVGA,XFX and BFG.

I doubt it's actually in stock though. I smell an etailer's attempt to phish for buyers until they let you know you aren't getting your card until November because of backlogged orders =P

edit: hmm, these OC variants all look very interesting because it seems like they are all just core/mem adjustments--600/1800 stock, 660/1900 OC, and 700/2000 OC2, but the shaders are always at 1500. I wonder if that means it's actually hard to OC the shaders on the stock cooler?

I hope not. I don't mind 86C load as long as the cooler doesn't sound like the XFX 7800GT stock "screamer" cooler (i.e., what I have).

I am quite content with the 8800GTS Fatal1ty rental for now, the cooler is nice and silent, although it is making all my PCI cards run hot as hell because of the proximity of the dual slot monster (which covers closer to 3 slots). It's almost heaven though after 2 years of listening to a delta screamer whine every time I start up Warcraft 3. But I am worried about my sound card melting off from the proximity to the GTS, so hopefully this stock cooler is silent...a little warm, okay, I still got 2 slots of PCI space between the GT and the sound card.

hmm...one of those rumor articles mentioned 1500 locked shaders. I thought it was a misprint of clocked. I wonder if that is what that means? That they are locked at 1500?

Have you seen any further rumors of the new GTS? It looks like I will nab one of those EVGA's on Monday and just step up to a GTS when they get it. Or maybe another "rental" for 3 weeks. lol I have a personal list of every retailer that has 30 day money back guarantees just in case.

The release is not canceled, probably took it down due to Nvidia not wanting these retailers to reveal the specs.
