Is there anyway to reduce noise? It is loud enough to get annoys by it.

I took off the stick where it say "Pull Me" on the Card (which people said is the what cause the noise)

i mean friend said their aren't that loud with 75% fan speed increase.

Or maybe mine is loose or something. If you guy know anything please share, thanks.

it sounds like your gts is set at a very high fan speed, probably 100%. Try downloading rivatuner and forcing the fan to a slower speed.

ok found out the problem, im such an idiot. I also installed a new psu at the same time and it was the fan on psu making the noise . I got a bit too excited about the GTS and forgot about the PSU. The Thermaltak PSU has a fan control and it was max and making sound like a mini jet engine.

LOL

I recently did something very similar. When my video server started making a horrible fan noise -- like a cheap VCR rewinding at high speed -- I went through all the trouble of replacing the CPU cooler only to find out that the little fan on the Radeon 9250 was clogged with dust.

Too bad there's no easy way to isolate all these fans.

Isolate them to find out which one making the noise? Easy. Unplug all the unpluggable fans. The rest, stop them with your finger on the center of the fan. If noise goes away, that's your culprit.

If you ever have fan noise the first thing to check is motherboard northbridge fans. I once had one that was louder than all of my fans combined.

For this reason I will never buy another motherboard that requires active cooling.
