I would take a 3870 any day over this card. In fact I prefer it over the 8800gt just for the features it has.
Lower performance isn't much of a feature. Neither is DX10.1 support. With that said I still wouldn't get the 256mb version till it hits closer to $149 rather than $199. I would actually get the 3870.

Besides the poor grammar and all around bad english, the graphs were pretty. I have serious doubts on their testing procedures but it basically shows the 256mb 8800GT keeping withing 95% of the 512mb 8800GT except at resolutioins higher than 1600x1200. And yes it still beats the 3870,
according to that website.
It did provde some info on the supply of the new 8800's being manufactured. According to that website, all the supply issues should be ironed out by the end of Dec. 2007.
