just got mine. looks like it's sporting the custom cooler, as well as 1.0ns Samsung chips rated for 2000MHz!! woot!
but my PSU only has 1pci-e connector and no molex ... no gaming until i can get another PSU. booo! :|

yeah, i went a little emoticrazy.

Edit: After looking at the PCB and going on a hunch, i have confirmed that you only have to plug in one of the PCIe connectors. I'm running fine right now off of one. I'll test out some games tomorrow and add an update for those interested.

now to go spend the money i saved on a new PSU on getting drunk.

edit: games just fine with only one PCIe power cable. I assume that the other connector is to provide more stable voltage for OCing, as there is even a jumper on the card to up the GPU voltage.

I am in for one as I need a video card for a quad build I am doing. Be sure to see the buyer comments at the bottom of the description page. It looks like new units are shipping with the fan set at a noisy 100% and Rivatuner, etc. don't seem able to adjust. A bios rollback is being advised by some but that has not worked well either.

Hmmm, a passive cooler. I like that. Seems effective from the Egg reviews. I would not be too happy if I had to spend on any replacement part instead of getting a good solution right out of the box, though. Anyway, thanks for the recommend.

Just checked and my card shipped already (two days to process and ship even with the holiday.) First time I ordered from this vendor, but I am happy that they show you where the order is at any point.

I still have a Dell EPP order for an 8800GT in since NOVEMBER with NO ACTION except interminable delays and shifting expected shipping dates.

Rather spend my money with NCIXUS.

That's weird, it's been 5 days since my purchase, and mine still hasn't shipped.
It's been froze at the next to last section (before shipped) for a day now.

Oh my, NCIX is horrible. Never ordering from again. Apparently I'm not the only one. Everybody's shipment is delayed.

And they have an apologetic post on the forums about how they're swamped, have so many orders, etc. As if they didn't know the holidays were coming and couldn't hire more people.

my shipment was prompt. I don't think it was the holidays, as i ordered mine on the 27th. I think the problem is that it's not exactly a huge, well known company, and they are one of very few places offering an 8800gt at a reasonable price. I mean look how many people dell employs. fat lot of good that did.
seems like a mis-calculation on their part of the popularity of this card.

when you say 5 days, are you including the holidays and weekends? lots of my shipments lately have been fubared by the holiday schedules.

Ordered mine the 29th as well; it's been at the stage before "shipping" for over a day now.

It's kinda useless for me to contact them now anyways; I needed it to me by Saturday (all my other parts are here) because I can only go to the campus post office on Saturday Mornings (job). Although I guess I can get my friend to go pick it up for me when it finally arrives, it's irritating to have a whole computer sitting in your room ready to be assembled (and shortly after I get back to my room, will be assembled) and you can't do a think with it cause you don't have a gfx card.
