I ordered on 12/28 and mine arrived today with the cheap shipping option. It has the nice heat pipe style cooler on it, not the reference design. Dell on the other hand just shipped my order for the XFX that I placed on 12/1, and this is about 4 days after I told them to cancel. They haven't charged me yet, either.
interesting...
I ordered on the 26th and mine arrived today as well.
I've got the newer standard cooler, not the heat pipe one. bit I've also got an accelero s1 with turbo module for it so the cooler is coming off right away anyway.
Hey, mine came in today as well, with my original order placed on 12/29. I also went for the cheap shipping option. Looks like the log jam at the border finally cleared.
For what it is worth, I got a card with the wicked nice Zalman-type heat pipe cooler and Samsung RAM, so I am pleased as punch!
Won't be able to do the build until next week but I am really looking forward to revvvving up the quad!
You prolly want to put some ramsinks on; to be safe.
Count yourself lucky you got the Zalman; I got the other model and the fan is hardwired to 100% (no black control line); it sounds like a jet engine. Completely negates my attempts to go more or less silent (my 120mm fans are inaudible).
So does anyone have this thing and like it? I am debating whether or not it is worth it to save the money or just spend more and go with like EVGA...keep hoping another thread opens up for an 8800 deal but just isn't happening.
