8800GT and 8800GTS

I know there are different speeds for the 8800GT, for example EVGA offers 4 different choices, is there any real noticeable difference between the 600, 650, 675 and 700 clock speeds?

Also, I have come across with people mentioning that there is a new 8800GTS coming soon. What would be the difference between the new model versus what is already available.

Is the new 8800GTS something worth waiting for or is the 8800GT the better bang for the buck?

There's not a lot of info about the new 8800GTS at the moment, but people are pointing towards the paper specs, which beats the GT in a few more shader pipelines, etc, etc, that it'll perform better.

Personally, I hold off judgment until I see a lot of reliable benchmarks, but with the lack of availability for the 8800GT and the lack of info about the GTS, if you can wait for the GTS, I say wait for it.

That's the new 8800GTS.

That's the old GTS with more shaders enabled. The new GTS is going to be G92 65nm based with 256-bit bus, and a ton of shader power. From the looks of things that's what nVidia is focusing on right now, just more and more shader power. The GTS basically looks more or less identical to the GT in terms or brute force ability (stock GTS rumored to have 62GB/s bandwidth...the GT SSC has 64GB/s. Of course there will most likely be OC versions of the GTS as well.)

That's the new 8800GTS.

If that's the new 8800GTS, then I'm very disappointed.

I don't think that card has the G92 core the 8800GT has, it's just your run-of-the-mill 640MB GTS with some more bells and whistles.
