8800GTS 320MB Vs 9600GT 512

Ok I have to cards in my house. I do not want to go out and buy a new card. I was wondering if my 9600GT 512 is better then my 8800GTS 320MB. I'm finding they are very close. What do you all think?

9600GT will be the faster card, especially in situations where 320mb memory becomes the limiting factor.

Nothing earth shattering, but it will definitely outperform it. My 320mb 8800gts was fine until i tried to add in some aa.

i think the 9600GT will be faster in newer games, because of the ram.

in shader heavy games the 8800GTS might win though. say a low res shader heavy game. butthen again why would you want to play at that condition.

so say UT3 at 1024x768, would probably be better on the 8800GTS since UT3 apparently uses a lot of shaders.

9600gt when memory becomes an issue, otherwise my money is on the 8800gts (more shaders, more memory bandwidth, more rop's).

You have both of these cards or are you trying to upgrade your 8800gts to a 9600gt? Upgrade wise it's not worth it.

9600gt would be better than 320mb card though. If it was 640mb card it would be about even.
