I made a mistake when I assembled my system. I left the CPU jumper set on 100 instead of 133 and installed everything. I've got an AMD 1800 XP processor, 512 MB of Crucial PC2100 DDR SDRAM, etc. etc. Now when I try to switch the jumper to 133 the system won't boot. Windows XP starts to come up, then the computer reboots, and it does this over and over again. I have figured out how to get it into safe mode, but what do I do from there? You help will be greatly appreciated.

Eaziest thing you can do is clear the CMOS via the jumper and check your ram settings.

Yep, clear your CMOS by moving the jbat1 pins from 1 and 2 to 2 and 3 with the power unplugged. Just have to short it for a second, then move it back to 1 and 2. Then check to see what the multiplier is set to. Go into the BIOS and make sure the multiplier is set to "default". This should give it a multiplier of 11.5x. If it is still rebooting after you flashed the BIOS, load up the 11/02 BIOS and flash it from a floppy. You may also want to try reinstalling WinXP after you flashed your CMOS. Not sure though since I'm running Win2k.

yes, the answer is to clear the CMOS setting and adjust the FSB in the BIOS.
