I do not know if this particular one is any good but the refurbed one I bought just a couple of weeks ago for the same price from NewEgg was ALL new and in sealed packages.

Its part of my first major OCing effort and I have my new Barton 2500 running at 3200+ speed right now WITH NO problems. Been running Sandra Burn-in for over 24 hours and the CPU is a constant 36C degrees with no errors!

I am pleased as punch BUT this one could have been opened....

I have bought refurb MB from newegg and it had non of the cables and headers.

It is hit or miss.

From what I've seen, the Epox refurbs from Newegg seem to usually have all the extra goodies. Other brand MBs usually are missing some or all of the extra stuff.

I got a refurb ABIT N7F-S early this week from Newegg and it was a rev 2.0 board with all the accessories in a retail box. Everything was still sealed in bags except the USB header. There were marks around the screw holes, so it looks like it was installed in a case by someone. I have it running on my bench with a fresh XP installation and so far, no problems. Haven't tried to overclock, yet...we'll see what happens.

Does this mobo accept Bartons ?

I got lucky and got a refrurbed barton a couple of days ago. I also have a Asus A7N266-VM AA mobo, can i stick my barton in here. At least the slot is the same, I didnt power it on and check though.

Any insights ?
