Is the only difference between these two boards is that the + board has onboard lan and firewire, or is it more than that?
Thanks

edit: On a further note I saw that epox was coming out witht he 8RGA+ which has onboard video but I think I read somewhere that the video performance was lacking somewhat in similar boards, is that the case?

The + version has the MCP-T which also features the Soundstorm, that has the option of DICE (Dolby Digital Interactive Encoding), along with the aforementioned features you mentioned

Yeah, the soundstorm is 5.1 Channel sound compared to the 2 channel AC'97 sound of the MCP chipset (like the 8RDA).

EPoX also includes a PCI bracket with the + that provides an additional two USB 2.0 ports besides the four on the mobo's I/O panel. The header exists on the non-+, so if you have a case with front USB ports, you can still have six. Side note: don't plug anything onto Pin 10 of the USB3 header... more info

The 8RGA+ is pretty much the 8RDA+ with the exception that the former also has onboard video, specifically the GeForce4 MX.

The performance of the nForce2 IGPs' video is not all that high in the 3D department, compared to add-in 3D accelerators. Could be nice for the business user or student, since some boards (including the 8RGA+) have dual VGA-out and therefore are a natural for a multimonitor setup. Too bad they don't make 'em dual-DVI with DVI-to-VGA adapters included too... that would be awesome

LOL yeah it would be great, but expensive and hence defeat the purpose of onboard video... they may as well put a Ti4200 chip (or perhaps lower clocked one) in there and skimp out on the connectors offering just a single VGA port. That would be pretty sweet, a Ti4200 or so on the board. 3dmark and game performace would SKYROCKET with high memory overclocks! Imagine going from giving that chip 266 MHz DDR to near 500 MHz DDR!
