So the kfactor is a multiplier for the QRB then?
Btw googling about this I saw mention of the passkey, will I still have it or will mine be invalid due to it being inactive for too long? (assuming I ever had it! lol).

Thx for that RD

Btw the % you mention, is that vs the 1 core x8? So 8c @ 11700 ppd is 182% more than 1c x8?

I've just stopped F@H for now (it did do 1 WU) & its just running A@H to burn off the remaining WUs.
I'm itching to get into the race but I don't want to trash a load of A@H WUs! Pitty I didn't see Petrus PM sooner!

Yes, a single core gets roughly 500 PPD, so if you've got 8 such single-core systems they'll get roughly 4000 PPD. My i7-920 on the other hand being 8-core if counts the HT-cores, using all cores gives roughly 11700 PPD running project 9004.

Ok thx

Just thinking how long the A@H WUs will take, their's 155 of them atm, 115 are the now short WUs est. at 1hr 4mins, the remaining 40 are the new long ones est. at 2hrs 6mins.
The short ones will take ~30.66 hrs whilst the long ones will take ~21hrs.
So I should be able to switch back to F@H in just over 2 days, too long! lol

I just remembered, I was going to do some further testing to see if I can get my rig stable at 450MHz FSB @3.6 GHz but that would need more testing, guess I'm going to have to leave that until next year! Ok it's only January .

I just don't get it. My 990FX / 1035T rig seems to be unstable with F@H. Either that, or I badly need to get a UPS. I check it every day, and it seems like it has crashed / rebooted / powered down every time I check on it. It's not overclocked.

I am having power problems - probably a terrible output today ...
I would be surprised if I will hit 100K today ...

Oh, yeah, there will be stats today

You may already know about these, but I bought a PSU tester some time ago and it has saved me a lot of heartburn over the years. Especially with intermittent or unstable rails. It is probably my favorite tool....next to the philips head............. : )

Mine is the Coolmax PS-228

What PSU do you have ? I have given up on anything but Seasonic and Corsair Gold or Platinum series.

Antec Eathwatts 650W by Delta. One of those handled my Q6600 @ 3.6 and TWO GTX460 cards folding 24/7 in a prior F@H race some Dec. I can't believe it can't handle a 95W Thuban and two 7790 cards.

All my PSU voltages check out just fine using HWmonitor while folding. Temps are low.

Given that data, I don't think it's the PSU specifically.

Put a kill-a-watt on it and see what it draws. If the PSU is pulling over 450 from the wall, it could be overheating... 7790 cards could draw a lot more than 460's ?? and that Thuban could be drawing more than the Q6600@3.6, not sure.

Software readings for voltages are next to useless, need to use a digital multimeter if you want to know for sure.

Yep, I'll 2nd that, you can't rely on the mbrd readings until after you've compared them to a DMM.

Thx for the stats Petrus , although I'm somewhat confused by the column 'diff ppd', what's that?
I take it the last column is total race production?

Oh my ppd will pick up now , just crunching the last 2 A@H WUs now, 2 cores already on F@H, the next 2 will join in ~1/2hr.

Thanks for the stats. In 9 days, I already exceeded my total from last year's race.

'diff ppd' is the change in ppd from the beginning of the race, and yes the last column is total race production.

Everything I have read says these cards are hard to break. They either crash or self modulate down. You may have pushed the limit on something. From the meter it looks like you have exceeded temp limit. (Your temp target is 82 but your temp is 83). Might play with fan curve........... or something else.............. also you might want to push power target up to 115%.

Just my two cents, YMMV.....

Thanks for the tips Pokey. You were right. I was exceeding the temp limit by 1-2 degrees so the card was throttling back. I bumped up the power target to 102% and the temp target to 86C. I also moved the computer to alongside my desk rather than under it to allow better airflow and cooling. I bumped up the GPU offset by 100 MHz so now with GPU boost the GPU/shader clock is running a steady 1105 MHz. Now I'm consistently getting around 197K PPD on p8900 WUs with the GTX780Ti.

Don't see that option anywhere.

Thx for the stats Petrus
Hmm, didn't get much for my 2nd(?) WU, F@H estimates ~11.3k ppd atm & 1310 credit for the current 1.

Here are the stats as of December 11, 2013, approx 20:00 UTC:

Here are the production numbers:

Very nice numbers! Take a quick look at the milestone thread - we have passed a great milestone: 30 million points in less than 11 days in Folding@Home!
