I wonder what's up with the frost 6P's, I haven't seen anyone who ordered one have it ship yet, but plenty of graphite and aluminum ones going out. Some people are getting emails from google telling them their order is delayed, I haven't gotten anything yet but it's not supposed to ship until next Monday so I guess I'll see what happens.

I ordered the 64g frost and no email for met yet. Still pending though.

What's funny is that before the reviews came out the 32gb models were 2-3 week shipping and the others could be pre-ordered. Afterwards the entire line went to wait list.

What color did you order? Some articles have said the frost (what I ordered) is the one being delayed the most. Mine still says November 5-9.

My 32GB/Graphite 6P has been "processing" for a couple days. They hit my CC on the 27th, but no shipping notification yet.

my guess is a 32gb aluminum, those seem to be shipping the most based upon the thread at Android Central.

My frost is still pending, no delay e-mail yet. Some people calling CSR's from other threads have said they were told that theirs were not delayed and should still ship Nov 2. Not sure how much I trust that, I'm sure the CSRs are told to say there is no delay until the system makes it official.

Yes, 32GB Aluminum. I had originally ordered a frost 64GB, but I had to cancel that order and a few days later when I wanted to order again the Frost were all out of stock. So in my impatience I ordered an aluminum. I think Frost looks the best, but I don't mind the others and I don't want to wait any longer for my nexus!

On a side note I got my adopted case from google yesterday, puts into perspective how huge this phone is, it seems quite a bit taller from my note 4 from the case size.

Fast charging speed comparison: From completely drained state, the S6 charges 88% in one hour. The 5X charges 82% in one hour. The S6 feels warmer than the 5X after the hour.

Google rep just told me they expect mine to ship 11/2 so I hope they keep to that.

So I've had my 5X for a little under 24 hours. A few initial impressions...

- A lot of reviews said "soft touch" back. Ok, it's a matte plastic, but not "soft touch". When I think soft touch I think of something a bit more rubbery and well...soft. It's not as grippy as I thought it would be.

- Size is nice. It's a little bit wider than an S6, but a lot more comfortable to hold. It is very light. A friend brought his 6P to my desk today and it felt like a brick in comparison. I also appreciate the size of the 5X more. It's what I wanted.

- Camera looks decent. Not much of a chance to try it out.

- Finger print scanner is legit. Seriously. It's fast. It just works. It's in a great placement. Love it.

- Screen is plenty bright, I've seen complaints about outdoor visibility...I'm not seeing that as a problem. Screen is also ok. It's not a color 'spoding AMOLED, but it'll do..especially for the price.

- I've seen some lag, especially if you are downloading something big. Apps will sputter a bit.

- I dropped a Project Fi sim in and was up and running and ported over from T-Mobile in under a minute. So far Fi's wifi calling destroys T-Mobiles. So much more reliable and fast switching. Will remain to be seen how well it works in every day running around town/country.

- I'll reserve judgement on battery. I was down to under 50% by 12:00PM but I had 2 hours of screen time and a lot of monkey'ing around with the phone by that time today. Will give it a few more charges and a bit more chance to settle in before I say anything.

Is the 5X more comfortable to hold than the S6 for you? Hmm.. I have been thinking the ergonomics of the 5X is rather mediocre. The curves on sides are not "complete" and the sharp edges dig in the palm. The slightly taller bottom bezel also annoys me a bit.

I think you are right, probably because the Nexus 6 was a flop.

But then the reviews hit and it's obvious that the 6P is the best Nexus ever, while the 5X is completely mediocre.

Makes me wonder why all the commercials are for the 5X if the 6P is the premium model?

Because people will get scared when they see the label "Huawei" on the back of the 6P.

What's funny is that second I took my 6P out of the box and my wife saw it the first thing she said is "ohh that looks nice, I want one" but she is on the waitlist

I agree on the sharp edges. I forgot to mention that. The edge on the back plate is unnecessarily sharp.

As far as difference between the S6 and the 5X it's a couple things.
The back and edges of the S6 are slick. There's a certain denseness to the S6 that belies it's weight. It just feels heavier than it really is and more prone to sliding out of my hand. That chamfered metal edge is just a pain to get a grip on. It looks awesome though

The finger print sensor on the S6 is in a bad spot for a tall phone and puts it in bad balance. The back of the phone works a lot better to me. Plus the on screen buttons of the 5X is a lot easier to reach than the haptic ones on the bottom bezel of the S6. It's just a lot easier to reach with my thumbs and doesn't leave me feeling like the device is too top heavy.

Are you sure its more expensive? I know you can only get the white at 64gig and above. If you are looking at the 32gig and click the white, it will jump it to the 64gig one which might be what you are seeing.

I dont think its out of stock, I think its that they dont offer white at that storage size. When I ordered mine which was the night they started preorders they did not offer white at 32.
