I'm waiting to see what the next Nexus they come out with will be. I believe it will be made by HTC and should include an 820 processor.

I would love something in the footprint of the Note 5 w/ Snapdragon 820 and a massive battery (~4000 mAh)

Rumors are still swirling around Huawei making one this year as well. I don't think HTC will be the exclusive Nexus provider this year. And with Sundar's comments recently, it seems like the Nexus line will be getting much more attention from Google.

I'd prefer if HTC didn't make it simply because I don't want it to look like an iPhone.

Well impressing is a different thing altogether. Almost no new phone can impress me in terms of looks nowadays. The Samsung Edge phones are visually striking but turns out to be an usability nightmares so there goes the only exception.

(As a note, the A9 generally looks better than the current iPhone if only because the current iPhone has the most ugly antenna bands in a flagship phone. I don't know what Apple was smoking when they did that, the iPhone 5 was visually so much better)

If anything the iPhone 6/6S (2014) copied the HTC M7 (2013) design. On the Android end, HTC did finally get Samsung and LG to step up their build quality game (well...to go metal at least). I've always been a fan of HTC designs.

The m7 was my favorite. I do enjoy the size of the 6p now though. Do we know when they will announce the new phones? Last year I think it was around October? I finally got mine in January.

It's usually around October time frame for new Nexus phone(s). I hope they stick to the two phone scheme. I got my 6P in December, and it's been solid. I'm very content and can see this being a long term phone. The problem is I love gadgets too much and always have the itch to upgrade.

I'm the same way especially with the Nexus devices. If the new one is really nice I'll be forced to sell this and get it. I'm very interested in Android N too.

Is that with latest camera app?

To be clear, the one that brings the N look.
The lag is still there. It's there even if you pre auto-focus and its worse in low light. For instance the concert I was at last week I'd always pre-AF and then the phone would take another second or so to snap the photo. Pretty annoying.

There's been some back and forth. Yeah, the iPhone 6 certainly seemed to riff on the M7, but then HTC upped the ante and made the A9 a little too blatantly inspired by Apple's work. The 10 is much better... it's distinctly HTC.
