sweet 2 more phones ill never give a 2nd thought to

thanks

The 6P isnt too bad in that you can get one with a reasonable amount of storage in. It is, however, mahoosive and it looks like a periscope from the back. So there is that.

Or just change the cable? You are using a charger with a usb-A socket on aren't you (and if not why not?)?

Probably because you have other devices that still need a micro usb cable, changing the whole cable for each device seems like a pain.

I dont think that I'd like to go below 128GB if there was no expandable storage. I could probably make 64GB work but its something I'd rather not worry about.

I dont know if I'm getting jaded or if the manufacturers are slacking off but I cant get excited about any recent phones.

Sony nearly gets there but manages to cock it up by being Sony. :\

Its not bloody difficult. 5" screen, big battery, waterproof, lots of storage (or an SDcard slot), SOC that isnt going to melt the rest of the phone, not too hideous...

I almost bought the 6p today until my dev buddies convinced me not to. I've had a 6 since launch and I love it. Super fast, battery is alright, got used to the screen.

I like the look of the new aluminum body but the 810 processor isn't so hot (or is it?)

I think I'll stick with my 6 until next year.

Ordered the 6p, not coming until November.

Didn't realize USB-C cables were so expensive. Any quality ones (even monoprice) are $10-15.

I've got invited to Project Fi. Is this related to today's event?

I don't know if this is invitation-worthy stuff or a beta testing.

Edit: Nexus Protect seems like a decent value.
Not really (for the 6P)

Its going to be $89 initial + $79 deductible = $170 for a replacement. My credit card covers a second year warranty, so its basically just for accidental damage.

Seeing how much value phones drop, its not that great of a value

Wait a bit. Lowest AWG I can find is 24(lower = usually better, less resistance loss)

Phone comes with one too. I'm waiting for a decent deal on a QC capable external battery

Hmm.. I did not realize there was a deductible. Yeah that changes the calculus somewhat.

The 6P grows on me nonetheless. The camera bump does not look that bad (even futuristic ) and the phone looks well built.

I was pretty set on the 5x until I saw the price. I think $429 for the 32GB, while a good deal, it's missing too much compared to the 6P which is only $70 more.

Ordered a 6P 32GB in graphite, estimated first week of November.

I want the 6P, but the size is just slightly too big. I'll be waiting for reviews, and especially interested in battery life. If the 6P has good battery life, I might upgrade my Moto G 2015 to that, although I don't need a new phone :/

I would like to get my wife a 5X but I haven't looked to see if Verizon will be supporting these phones.

In any case, I'm excited to get an official Android M release for for Nexus 6 in a week!

I am torn between the Moto X and 6P. The Moto X allows for a SD card, so even though it has low storage, you can upgrade it. I would be willing to get the 16gb and get a big SD card to put in which would be cheaper than getting the phone with more internal storage.

I put in for a new Chromecast.

The 6P reveal almost got me to forget about the 810. I'm glad to not be in the market for a phone this year. Hopefully next year the same kind of quality will be coming to the Nexus line, and Qualcomm will have got its act together.

Nexus 7 FHD is getting Marshmallow update too. This little device just keeps getting better and better.
