These are made by Drill Master.. Never heard of them, anyone know if these are even of decent quality? I'm guessing not since they are so cheap

The one that is 9.99 has a chuck key. The one that is 17.75 is keyless.

Freind of mine has had one since Jan. Works well as a 2nd unit, one for lighter duty. Hasn't had a problem with it. Made in China (where else). Really can't beat the deal.

Harbor Freight is constantly changing prices. If you want something particular, wait a few months and a few catalog printings later, the price will drop.

They're also known for selling low quality stuff. If what you want is light duty occasional use stuff, by all means go for it. But think long and harda bout buying from HF for real work tools.

Works like a charm if you follow the directions in the first post. Not a bad deal either for a "second" unit for around the house. Shipping was $2.95 for CA. Didn't get it, cause I already have 3 different drills around here.

I have 2 12V ones and they don't hold a charge. If you don't mind charging them before every job then they are OK for a spare unit.

Just wanted to thank yellowfiero for this post even though I didn't buy the cordless drill.

I had never heard of Harbor Freight before, but after this post I was checking out their website and found that they had a retail outlet here in town. I just got back from picking up a bunch of stuff for under $20 incl. some helping hands that were only $3.49 A heck of a better deal than the $9.99 that Radio Shack wanted for them.

This is great since I'm now living in a town that doesn't have a Northern Tools B&M. I used to buy all my cheap hardware there.
