My build is the same as well, and have also confirmed GPS, but I have more serious issues. I am trying to apply the same "fix" to resolve the 0 bytes storage issue (which also resets the system after each reboot) but for some strange reason I cannot get superuser permissions. Atlr has tried to help me one on one, but still no go. Here is all of the data on the issue so far:
I am definitely rooted, as the Root-Checker app confirms it. Here is the exact shell I see when I launch terminal emulator:
app_50@android: / $ export PATH=/data/local/bin: $PATH
app_50@android: / $
When I type the following: /system/xbin/su
I get: "permission denied"
The uid on Atlr's system is 10051 and mine is 10050
The user name is app_51 on Atlr's and app_50 on mine
Settings-About tablet (an exact match with Atlr's):
Android version 4.03
Kernel version 3.0.8+ inet_ph@inetsuperserver #1
Build number is 03F2-P1-H2-M02-1957.20120417
Typing the following: ls -la /system/xbin/su
Results in:
-rwsr-sr-x root root 22364 2012-05-23 05:04 su
The permissions seem correct on the su binary directory listing, but the file size is different on Atlr's (looks like the default version from the factory):
-rwsr-sr-x root root 5692 2012-04-17 17:31 su
Also, the file date of su on Atlr's corresponds with the Build of 03F2-P1-H2-M02-1957.20120417
It seems that "something" replaced su for some reason. The only apps I installed that might have done this are: Rom Manager, Super User, Titanium Backup, and Busy Box. I am pretty sure I did not install Busy Box (which is what broke everything) until 2 days after the above date stamp (5/25), so it must be one of the other 2 apps causing the issue?
Looking in the xbin directory using su* produced only one other entry:
lrwxrwxrwx root 2012-05-25 10:00 -> /system/xbin/busybox
Just for kicks, I also tried both software and hardware resets and same results - permission denied. The only things left to try are:
1. Reinstalling the firmware, if I can find one that is valid/clean and guarantee it won't brick the tablet
OR
2. Overwrite the su file with one from Atlr. Also potential (probably less) to brick it
I am very desperate to fix this, as I would like to keep this tablet, but I only have until Tuesday to return it to the store. There just has to be another way I am not thinking of to resolve this. Thanks in advance for any help!
