Good idea. Plenty of kids end up at college without enough of the fundamentals to survive their first semester.

well let's be honest here. a lot of us built some wild, creative things in our lifetimes. i built some pretty awesome guns with rulers, clothespin, rubberbands, etc. nobody ever helped pay for my college tuition. :\

If he (his parents) actually invested these funds, I'm fairly certain his college tuition and then some would be covered by his 18th birthday.
