theyre all a little bit overkill i think for that cpu. my bro has a 8500le with his duron 1.1ghz
runs stuff good, but still bottlenecked by the cpu. he intend to play alot of games?
id say get the 9100/9000 whichever you can find cheaper, if hes gonna upgrade to a ~1.5ghz system or so in the near future the 4200 would work for that too

speed wise, the 4200 will blow the others away, especially when overclocked.

IQ wise, the ATI is better....but of course my opinion ( have used both, now using ATI)

since when did they make a 900MHz P3?

I'd personally go with the Radeon 9100... but that's just me.

8500 and 8500le are basically the same as a 9100, excepts that they usually run with faster core and mem speeds. If you don't mind used an 8500 or 8500le (check very carfully to see what it is clocked at before you buy) might be your best bet.

Just don't get the 9000 non-pro. It's much slower compared to the Pro version, or 8500/9100.

yup, 9100s are faster than the 9000?s. 4200?s are double the price of 9100?s here in Canada They are faster, but the 8500/9100 holds it own pretty good.

If the prices are the same (which I find surprising), I'd say go for the Ti4200 for gaming performance. But as Blastman pointed out, the 8500LE/9100s are about half the price here in Canada and hold up pretty well in most ways. I have an 8500LE on my son's computer, and it works great.
