Same here. I am holding out for a complete Core 2 Duo system and been looking for a cheap X2 or Opteron to fill the gap until Q2 when prices fall, but wasn't able to find one. There was a recent deal for 3800+ AM2 for 75.xx but damn why can't they have one for 939!

The fact that they have it in stock makes it hot. 939 X2's are pretty hard to find, and this is a good price for a 4800. No, not the best "value" but a pretty good deal for someone looking for a fast dual core 939.

If you already have $200 worth of DDR1 RAM and a 939 motherboard this is a much hotter deal than a core 2 E6400.

E6300 and E6400 purchases should be on hold for the time being. Intel is coming out with 4mb L2 versions soon that will cost the same. as todays 2mb versions
