Apparently, the job of all Republicans is to delay the inevitable, no matter the subject.

It's a recreational product that anyone can produce with minimal effort. It is a direct competitor to the alcohol industry and the pharmaceutical industry.

Decriminalization on the possession will impact the economy.
Issue is some are more focused on the $$$$ impact vs social impact.

I'm anti anything that some asshole breathes into my face. However, the social destructiveness of these laws is a the more important thing to address.
I'll be fine with weed falling under the no smoking in public spaces laws like all the idiot ciggarette and vape idiots must abide by.
Brownies for everyone.

Arizona's recently approved legalization law for MJ includes provisions to protect non-smokers. It is the first legalization measure I supported, for this very reason.

I'm assuming the GOP got a huge fucking check from the alcohol, tobacco, and pharma industry to oppose this. Party of small government and freedom, eh?

The tobacco companies probably support legalization since they can profit from it, alcohol and big pharma are the ones that will take a loss.

Some advice. Stay away from JWH synthetic canabinoids. It's irresponsible for these powerful substances to be freely available. There are long term after effects. Unfortunately, anecdotal, but just saying.

In my case, I don't do any drugs whatsoever aside from the occasional drink.
If I were to even try it, we are an organic household.

They are being studied because they are super analgesics. I would say too much so. If you like feeling your extremities.

I agree, this could be huge for the GA runoff and they need to make it a very clear simple message.

"Vote for me and we will pass HB 1234 to decriminalize MJ. A vote for my opponent means at least 2 more years of ruining lives with the war on MJ."

Simpler:

"Weed bitches. I'm talking dank, sticky weed, cheap as a motherfker, delivered to your house, and popo can't do shit about it. Vote D."

If any country needs weed legal and easily available it's our country. That's what the repubs are afraid of. They don't want peaceful, relaxed people talking to one another. If that happens they can't sell their FUD and keep their base scared and obedient.

the irony is that a ton of Republican voters claim to be Libertarians and legalization is at the core of their values.

That's a great idea. From small, indoor concerts I've gone to, too much secondary smoke from weed make me want to barf.

I've always thought pothead were more susceptible to conspiracy theories.

If I were high I don't think I would be sitting around reading the internet. I would be more tempted to play a game, watch a movie, listen to music, be out in nature or even do a menial task since they are 100% more interesting when your high. Then again that's just me so YMMV.

Wait...people in parts of the US are still allowed to smoke indoors other than private residences and Native American run casinos? I thought that went away years ago.

I think stereotypes are easy ways for us to compartmentalize things around us.

In my XP, MJ doesn't change your mind in this way, in fact it makes an analytical mind more analytical.

I was taught MJ would ruin your life and make you stupid. Turns out, our society designed a system that ruins your life cuz MJ and stupid people are all over the place, with many of the dumbest people I've met / known being staunchly anti MJ, while being all about gettin drunk then apologizing to sky fairies later.
