9500 Pro on Clearance at Best Buy

I'm a first time poster, not sure if anyone else has posted or seen this deal.

I was walking around Best Buy this past week and noticed that they had a couple of Radeon 9500 Pro's on clearance for $141. They weren't sitting with the rest of the video cards, they were off on some other shelf with other clearance items. I thought about tucking one away somewhere, but I guess I'm getting a little bit too old for that sort of thing. Being that I didn't have $141 at the time I was a little upset to find the cards were gone when I returned on Sunday with money in hand. Also, I couldn't find the card listed on BB's website.

However I was pleasantly surprised to find that when I got home Sunday evening my girlfriend had an early birthday present for waiting for me. What a woman, encouraging my gaming habits!

Anyways, this looks like a heckuva deal if you can find one. Look around the computer section for a bunch of clearance items and you may get lucky. A little snooping is certainly better than paying $200 for an inferior 9600 Pro.

This is a repost, and for those that can find them, yeah, nice deal.

Lucky, welcome to AT forums!

For future reference, please do a SEARCH for the product name and vendor name before posting deals. The other posters are just PMS'ing because this is around the 4th or 5th time this deal has been posted.

The title alone would have let many of you know already that it was a repost. For those of you who wasted time to come in here and flame the poor guy.......... lighten up.

Their upset because they don't have girlfriends who'll buy them a video card. I usually search for a related keyword, but a lot of the posts endup turning into a chat session on totally un-related topics to the origional thread theme, besides being months/weeks old.

Haha, I wish I had a woman who'd buy me toys. Come to think of it, any girl who can talk computers with me is extremely sexy.

Girls who can weild a nintendo controller, are even hotter. Hah!

lol, I have to steal your girlfriend now Lucky! Any woman who'd buy their man a Radeon 9500 Pro is definitely bumped up a couple notches on the girlfriend scale!

Now, if she would BUILD me a full blown overclocked Prometeia cooled gaming rig...oh then it's marriage time haha. Of course that would actually be frightening how geeky our kids would be...gaaahh!!!

Yeah, she's pretty awesome.

Most people scouring the forums looking to cry havoc about reposts have neither:

1. A girlfriend

2. Much less a girlfriend that will buy them hardware unexpectedly

I hate searching through previous threads, if I repost I repost, sue me.

That being said, the flamers here are pretty tame, instead of wearing a "flame retardant suit" I'll just wear sunglasses, lay back and get a tan

Good job making sweeping generalizations and making yourself look like a jackass.

My girlfriend doesn't know computers, but she did buy us a new HDTV to watch me play Knights of the Old Republic on...she doesn't want to play, she just likes watching it.

Rile, sounds like you've got a pretty darn fine woman yourself. Tell you what, the 9500 Pro came with an S-video cable, my girlfriend and I will come over, hook up my computer to your HDTV, we can kick back, play some games on a really big monitor, and drink some mixers while lamenting my repost of an earlier repost and all damaged it has wrought. Sounds like the gf's won't mind kicking back and watching. That is if you don't mind hanging out with a :

To me it's simple. You do a search first. If it's a repost, you've just saved 100s or 1000s of people wasting their time rereading something.
If you don't search first, you're helping almost no one and actually wasting many people's time. Unlike some people that seem to live here, I do have a life and don't like spending an hour+ a day looking at forum posts, a good percentage of which always turn out to be reposts. And no, reposts don't help people see the topic any more than a bump to the original post by someone that searched for it before reposting.

So if you have no respect for your fellow AT members, go ahead and post without checking like MrDudeMan seems to support.

That being said, I have no problem with LuckyForward's post. Glad to see him taking part. I'm only annoyed at other members that jump all over people for stating that it is a repost and a waste of time.

It sounds like you are whining yourself and have plenty of time to write the entire paragraph.

More like hes presenting a really good point that instead of creating a new thread, bumping the old one is a much better idea.

Don't worry about it... there is more waisted bandwidth in complainers than your small repost.

I appreciate the post, as I was wondering if this was only a one shot deal. Looks like it is available to more than the original poster.

Thanks.

I'm sure all you repost nazis would prefer threads with deals rather than paypal scams and "cold deals".
