I put the same link at 2 other forums and it works fine. I put it here and i cant get it to work at all. I must be doing something wrong. See if this one works 9600 pro

Ok I got it to work.

should I buy this or hold out for the next video card that comes along?

In other words, is this a great deal or just a warm one?

I'd wait until the NV35-line cards are announced before biting. Evidently there are "value" cards based on the new NV35 core...but details aren't plentiful enough to give advice one way or another.

According to the AT's review, the 9500 pro would be a better buy since its perforamnce in AA is much higher and it runs at the same price, hence a 9500 pro may be best bang for your buck.

The 9600 non-pro is looking mighty good. A ~$150 videocard that will probably overclock the same as the 9600Pro.

I expect the 9600pro to take over the Ti4200 price point fairly soon so think about $120-$140. If I were buying now I'd buy a 9500pro.

the gf4 will perform better in non directx9 games (currently there are no directx 9 games) and when not using antialiasing and antiscropic filtering. the ati 9600 will perform better in the other cases.

the 9600 pros overclock really well according to hardocp's review. they may have gotten a ringer but doubtful. the 9500 pro you have to hack the bios to overclock, so its not as convenient

as for 9600 vs 4600, this review is as close are you're going to get. the 9600 pro is a bit slower than the 9500 pro, but they should both be faster once the AF and AA is turned on. and of course you may be able to massively overclock he 9600 pro

Im a freak, an fps gamer that doesnt notice anythign except targets and opportunities. My opinion is slanted that way.

Recently I sold my ti4800 and got a 9500 pro, traded in on a 9700. Wasnt seriously impressed with either. The 9700 was a huge dissapointment and had to go back and the store had no more stock so Im stuck waiting for a check for my reund to get a new card. Im prolly gonna go for the alatron myself.

Ive always used 3dmark to see what settings i could run at reliably, not as the reason to buy a card. Dont let a bench be your only reason to by a card.

A good way to judge which card to buy is go to vid forums and see who has problems. If ya see posts over and over about one or 2 chipsets mebbe you should consider somethign else.
