9600XT, 9500 softmod or 9600Pro ?

My budget is around +- $150 I am upgrading from Radeon 7000. I want to run it on P4 1.7Ghz
I can't find 9500 on store anymore(San francisco), if I buy online then it is hazzle for me to return it when the softmod fail. I just want to judge whether the upgrade to 9600XT or 9600Pro from original 9600 worth the extra money ? Is there a review show how different all of these products compared ? Thanks for your input

Why it's called AnandTech

The xt seems to be closer to 200 than 150. Go with the 9600pro if you don't care about getting hl2 for free when it does come out. If you do, factor that into to cost and see if it's worth it to you. The 9500 is a decent card itself, even better if you can softmod it.

I'd get the 9600 pro. The price/performance is a lot better than a 9600xt, and of the course the 9500 mod is far from a sure thing.

I think I'll go with 9600Pro.
