I have put a system together with the above mobo and is running with 2 HDD and 1 combo cd/dvd as follows:
1. Raptor 74gb SATAI (05 version), running on SATA0
2. Seagate 80gb SATAII, running on SATA1
3. Lite-on DVD, SATA, running on SATA2
All the above running on the intel chipset (the gigabyte one is disabled).
There are two options on the bios.
SATA RAID/AHCI Mode, disabled
SATA Port0-3 Native Mode, disabled.
On the windows all the above devices are reported as Ultra DMA 5. From what i know UDMA 5 is ATA133?
Are the SATA drives run at their maximum bandwith and if not are these BIOS options make a difference?
I have changed the native support to enabled but i have seen no difference.
I have installed xp pro on the drive so any changes on the above options for bios will require to re-install?
Thanks for your help
