i couldn't help but bump this seeing as how the 9600 pro for $86 at a crummy seller has been near the top of the hot deals for the past couple days

this deal blows that away, 9700 pro has twice the pipelines and is much better than 9600 pro, AIW is just icing on the cake

I think this is a GREAT DEAL. If it has the 3-year warranty, then Im all for it. Be a great card for a HTPC.

Err i have a 9700 Pro and a TV Wonder VE that i got for $5

Would this be an uprgade in any way? besides it being all in one.

jesus - you'll lose the vga output so you can't use two monitors at once, I don't know anything about how the TV wonder VE compares to the 9700 pro AIW for TV and PVR functions. I personally think you shouldn't buy this even if it is a nice price.

But this card is VERY appealing I think to MOST people who use one moniter and haven't upgraded their vid card for a while, or need one for a new system build. The 9700 Pro will run Half-life 2 great @ 1280x1024, even my 9500 Pro (not overclocked to 9700 Pro) runs HL2 fine at this resolution.

FWIW I bought a newegg reffurb 9700 Pro AIW backin july of 02 (dont ask the price )
and it is still running rock solid. of course with any refurb YMMV, but new egg has a fantastic customer server polciy should you receive a Dead card.

wow, first they lowered it by $10 for a half a day, then raised it by $80, rediculous

but my link is now directing to the new oem model for some reason, not the refurb, i didn't change it

if you search newegg you can still get the refurb, but its $189 + $1 shipping, better off avoiding either one at this point

Not that great, considering a 9800 Pro OEM from Sapphire is like $125.
