980 Ti and Acer XB280HK Gsynch 4k monitor

So will you get a good 4K experience with 980 Ti and Acer XB280HK Gsynch 4k monitor?

I know the 980 Ti won't hit 60fps for 4k games, but the Gysnch monitor should make this a non issue?

If you turn down settings and disable MSAA, it should hit 60 fps. Usually the first thing I kill are SSAO or HBAO, just use normal shadows, saves a lot of performance.

What's your view on the monitor? Worth it? Does the GEForce experience recommended game settings turn off much of the features?

I have the same monitor with Titan X SLI. Don't expect to hit 60 fps with one card unless you want to do some serious graphical downgrades, however, G-Sync makes 45 fps extremely smooth. If it dips under 40, it's still ok, but I would recommend sacrificing IQ to keep the average above 40.

One Titan X can do 40+ in any game not named Crysis 3 or Witcher 3 with AA off and almost everything set to Ultra.

I can back this up.

Edit: Getting playable framerates with one Titan X is possible. For reference sakes, I get 37 with one on The Witcher 3 (No AA), with everything maxed. Downgrading shadows, disabling some post processing, and some ini. tweaks can get me to 42-45. An extra overclock of 100-200 mhz will get you a further 5 frames. So since your Ti would be just as fast, you're pushing close to 50 fps @ 4K in The Witcher 3 on average with minimal image loss quality. Make sure you turn up the fans regardless of whether you overclock because that extra from boost clock is necessary when even 5 frames can make a huge difference. And you don't want it throttling now do you?

Which suck since I'm upgrading to play Witcher 3 and future game.

With the geforce experience "recommended optimized" in game settings I'm running 50-55fps and have minimal eye candy loss (to me anyways)
