BestBuy is selling the 9800 pro for 219 + 50 rebate. Take a frys ad to match it to 199 before rebate.
Would prove helpful to add "price match" (or an abbreviation, of course) to the thread title. Also is quite a YMMV situation, as Best Buy policy typically favors the store on price matching with rebates.Originally posted by: nitrus

It also doesn't say that it needs to be purchased at BB, so I'm wondering if we can just buy the card at Fry's and then submit the rebate.

Well the fact that "best buy.com" is WATERMARKED all over the rebate might cause a slight problem.
Have to admire the candor of suggesting blatantly fraudulent actions, most especially in a public forum.Originally posted by: usernamemax20charact
When selecting text, omit anything that says BB.

If you have the money the GT is the way to go no question, especially with doom 3 here in like 2 weeks.
I have already decided to get a GT, but thats because I already sold my pro and need a card NOW.
However if I were anyone else I would wait and see what the doom 3 benches are like on the 9800 pro befor e I bought one.

Probably good that they were turned out, because the rebate would be denied later on anyway.

Is this FACT, or just a chance.
Have you had a BB rebated denied because you used a PM?

This is a FACT if it's a BB rebate.
For example, take a look at this rebate.
Under the Terms and Conditions, it states:
"Customers who receive a price match will not be eligible for the rebate. Those who receive a rebate and later receive a price match, will have the value of the rebate deducted from the price match."
So it's a huge YMMV if you expect to get both a PM and a BB rebate.

Watermark won't print out if you select the text and then print "selection" only. When selecting text, omit anything that says BB.
