Does it come with a 128 Meg V? Because wow, thats some over priced hardware. I can't imagine what the new cores will be priced at if they are selling that thing for 550 for +5 frames in a game that is not out yet.

And I can't believe NewEgg is doing this, the Saphire 9800pro was $298 yesterday and for almost a week now, and today it's $301 with a giant "On Sale!!" wording above it. I thought they were above doing things like that.

I understand supply and demand and that the prices go up and down. What I'm complaining about is the fact that they raised the price up $3 today and put giant letters above it that says "On Sale!!". Last I checked, when something is "on sale" it's CHEAPER than it was formerly at.

And by the time you get it you will be able to buy the next latest greatest card. Now you could buy a 9800pro and buy HL2 when it comes out and still be far cheaper or you could buy a 9800pro for your main box and a 9600xt for a second. Get two cards for the same price and a copy of HL2. Someday

A 9700NP for $215 and overclocked to Pro speeds will hold you over for at least 6months until the next gen GPU's come out....

I think the next gen GPU's are going to be where it's at... These cards will and should run Doom 3/Max Payne 2/Half Life well, but the next gen ( as always ) will run them much faster.. I just say this as i think most of the new games are going to based off Doom 3 engine and what not... Might as well have the extra frames..

Only makes sense to save you $500...
