This is for real? Is this the price we can expect the GTX to sell for when it becomes more widely-available? What brand is this card? This is HOT.

That's going to be MSRP for this card AFAIK. The GX2 series is the new "high end" for nVidia. Personally I'm waiting for a single GPU with "high end" performance.

BFG is the best brand IMO they honor their lifetime warranty without any hassle. I know from experience.

Confirmed at the Tempe, AZ store. 3 on the shelf this afternoon priced at $349. I picked one up, fondled it for a while, contemplated lighting up one of my credit cards, then remembered I have 2 8800GTs in my rig at home that are going mostly unused and regained my senses. I thought it seemed like a good deal for Fry's as they still had 8800GTS's starting at $369. They also had a GX2 for $599 I believe.

Somebody please go back there and buy them so they will quit tempting me.

Wonder if the BFG 9800 OC cards have a little extra voltage like the 8800s have. My two bfg 8800GTS's overclocked very well because of this.

Wait...this is just a G92 core? So nothing new except higher clocks?
9600GT's in SLI is probably a better deal...except I'd need a new SLI board...ugh...stupid nVidia making SLI proprietary pisses me off.

I think the $199 deal on the G92 8800gts 512 blows this away.

According to the reviews I've seen the 9800GTX is basically a higher clocked 8800gts and only offers a relatively small performance increase. Unless these prove to be just insane overclockers I can hardly see how the $150 price diff is justified

I honestly don't understand why anyone would pay the premium for this card or the new 9800gx2, when you can get the G92 gts for $199 AR overclock it and have 95% of the performance of these new cards at 2x 3x the price in everything except the highest resolutions. And even if you have a 30" LCD at 2560res unless your competing for records the incremental performance is probably not worth the steep price.

And if you really need bang for the buck, the newegg deal on the old 8800gts 320mb @ $114 AR is incredible. For 22" and smaller monitors thats still a rockin card.

I don't understand these are so heap.. I'm seeing people sell their 8800GTX for like $300 but for $50 I can get a brand new 9800GTX?

From the looks of it, that $300 will turn into $250 very soon.

It's called "eVGA step-up" for free On that note, because of a step-up program, eVGA will be the only company having these cards leave the shelves.

Fry's in San Diego pulled them from the shelves until April 1st when I asked about the 9800 gtxs. They have EVGA and BFG. The saleguys I spoke with said the BFG wasn't an OC model.
