Well here is my story. I had a 9800XT for the longest, it crapped out on me 2 weeks ago. I RMA'ed it and received it yesterday from ATI, they sent me another 9800XT. While it was away I went ahead and bought a Leadtek 6600GT. This is also a great card. Now I only play TWO games lol, Black hawk Down and Joint Operations. Black Hawk Down is already maxed on both cards, but JO needs a kinda beefy card (the 9800XT play it just fine). If it was up to you, which one would you keep and which one would you sell?

Well, I would keep the 6600GT and sell the 9800XT anyday. 6600GT>9800XT. Also, the 9800XTs sell for much more. You could sell both and get an x800 pro or 6800gt.

6600GT is way better than 9800XT because it runs at much higher memory speed and Core & also shader model 3.

The 6600GT is faster than the 9800 because it has a faster clock for clock gpu, and higher clock rate on the gpu. The 9800 has ALOT more memory bandwith than the 6600s.

yeah having had a quick look through that xbit review it seems the 9800XT is alot better than i thought

its either on a par, or in front most of the time, for the games i looked at, SC, flat out, generals etc

6600 was much better in 3dmark, but i dont care much for 3dmark

either way the 6600Gt is probably gonna be the keeper. new features, probably provides the better all round performance (much like people say although the 6800GT/ultra had the lower FPS, it provided the smoother gameplay over the x800's)

9800XT has a 256bit memory bus in its favour though
