Credit goes to undefined at FW. I ordered yesterday along with a PVR-150, got it today, and couldn't be happier with the setup. I figure that if a lot of the major manufacturers are cutting their 3 and 5 year warranties to 1 year, there has to be some significant cost they're absorbing in warranty claims (decline in production quality is one of the possibilities here). The Seagate is really quiet, too. I added it to a system with two case fans and a WD 80 gig, and didn't raise the noise level at all. I can still hear the WD but the Seagate is inaudible.
