Pretty hot. I picked one up yesterday too. ECS mobos aren't usually good overclockers, but I tried 1333 FSB in the BIOS and it runs great at 3.16 GHz. I don't have a 45nm compatible motherboard so I'll keep the ECS.

I can't believe it. I was in the Concord store yesterday because I needed a MB. (I have an RMA with Abit for my IP35-E because of corruption errors.) I knew about the deal for an E7200 with a Gigabyte EP43-DS3L for $195 but didn't want that board. I ask the guy in the dept how much for an E7200 and he quoted me $125. He didn't tell me about this deal for $100.:disgust:

It's the Fry's in TX.

The guys at the components desk work on commission, so they are always eager to sell you more expensive items. I can't say I blame them. However, I do find it annoying when I ask for an ECS combo special and they try to talk me out of it.

Also, the salesmen are not always aware of which items are on sale. It's very common to ask for a combo special and to be told that they need to look it up because they haven't heard about it. I don't think they're lying; I think they don't bother to look at the ads unless they need to because the 8.5"x14" photocopies they use are so dang hard to read.

By the way, I was able to overclock an E7200 on an ECS GF7050VT-M a while back. I sold the motherboard, and unfortunately, I don't remember which settings I used in the BIOS. But I'm pretty sure I set the CPU:memory divider to 2:1, so the FSB speed was 1333MHz and the memory speed was 667MHz. It worked like a charm.

The deal is back at Fry's B&M. So, if you didn't get in on the deal earlier this week, you have another opportunity. Deal is good until 9/2.

It is a boxed chip. I picked this up Thursday. I had to run back to Fry's to pick up a 20 pin to 24 pin power supply adapter and then it was up-and-running. Thanks for the tip.

You can go even higher if your CPU is capable.
Besides BSEL Select, this board has FSB and memory adjustments in 1Mhz steps. You can go as high as your CPU can handle on stock voltage.

Awesome deal, I went and grabbed this. Thanks for the heads up!

Rock solid at 3.16ghz! What a friggin steal!

Board doesn't seem to have any vcore adjustments, so you basically just can go as high as your chip allows on stock voltage. Unless thers some bios flash that enables vcore or something.

What voltages are you guys getting?

My E7200 has stock voltage of 1.175v (as reported by RMClock). Would've preferred lower, but I can take it to 3.3Ghz on stock voltage with the bundled ECS motherboard (which runs it at a constant 1.128v according to CPU-Z).

I've heard of people getting E7200's with stock voltages below 1.0v

I am really tempted by this deal. I saw in today's paper that Fry's has the same ECS motherboard and an E8500 for $189.99. However, for $99 and the ability to overclock the E7200 to 3.16 GHz right out of the box, I may have to make a trip to Fry's and pick this deal up. The only reason I hesitate at this point is because I suspect Fry's will have one of their "One Day Only" sales tomorrow. I have really been wanting to pick up a Q6600...
