Question 9900K cooling advice

I recently upgraded to the latest and greatest shiny.

So of course I decided to test the system.

I'm using y-cruncher stress tester and CPUID HWMonitor to monitor temps. Stock settings, no overclocking whatsoever.

And I'm somewhat concerned that I'm seeing temps to the tune of 115 °C on the package and well into the 90s for all cores (98°C max on a few of them). And I'm seeing a bit of thermal throttling, cores dipping below the advertised 4700 MHz all-core load.

For reference, my cooling setup is my trusty old CM Hyper 212 evo in a push-pull config (the old fan didn't fit with the new ram I got, too high, got in the way, so I got a slim noctua and moved the other fan to the back of the cooler).

I've been looking at reports that say that cooler is rated at 150W, but the 9900K is generating in excess of 200W (even tho intel advertises it as 95W TDP, fat chance). HWMon reported max Package power of 308W, which is like double the rated capacity.

Should I be worried (I realize probably not, but asking just to be safe)?
Alternatively, How good of an idea is it to get a new cooler? (If yes, Recommendations please.)
All told, if the numbers HWMon is reporting are to be believed (200W steady state thru most of the test, and a 150W rating on the Hyper 212), it seems to be performing remarkably less thermal throttling than I expected.

Do you have a case with good airflow? I would slap a AIO with a 240mm or greater radiator on the CPU, or at least a higher end air cooler like a Noctua. You could also try undervolting to get the power and temps down some.

You probably should pick up a beefier cooler. I'd personally recommend a cooler like the NH-U14S (if space allows), or the new Be Quiet Dark Rock Slim. Although the latter product was just launched, so the retailers are still waiting for stock to arrive.

I believe I do, pretty good airflow actually. However I must say, I'm not convinced by AIOs.

Just to be clear, I only saw cores dip below 4700 MHz (the stock rated all-core levels) very briefly during stress test load, during the heaviest AVX2 phase. Don't think I need to undervolt here.

Been monitoring normal usage, incl. gaming. Probably gonna stick to my 212 for now. But I appreciate the suggestions.

For the Noctua, my RAM isn't low profile, so there's potential for obstruction on the one end (the other is fine). But then again, I already have a slim noctua fan that fits where a thicker one might not, so I could easily put it in a push-pull (as I have for my current cooler).

Those temps are pretty high. Sorry for the late reply.

I would second the recommendation to go for an AiO. Can you mount a 280mm rad in your case? I am not personally interested in AiOs myself, but the EVGA CLC 280 seems like a really good product, if you can stand the fan noise. There is a 280 mm Corsair (h115i?) that is cheaper and may perform just as well. I am wary of AiOs with larger rads, since the included pumps don't seem to be equal to the task.

If you do not like AiOs, you can always throw an NH-d15 or Dark Rock Pro 4 on there. I have an NH-d15 with 3000 rpm Noctua fans on it (noise, ugh) and it can handle loads in excess of 200W from my overclocked R7 1800x. Could be better though.
