Dollar stores are a ripoff. Good riddance.

The dollar stores here get shoplifters daily and nothing the owners can do but watch them steal stuff. I honestly don't know how they manage to stay in business. I don't think there is much profit margin selling stuff for a few bucks once you account for operating costs let alone theft. The inventory itself is probably the cheapest cost but all the other costs are the same as running any store. Hydro, gas, rent, property taxes, insurance etc.
