I'll solve the best man stopper debate right here. Do you really want to know what tis the best man stopper, it's the round your most accurate with, plain and simple. A .22 in the eye socket is better that a .50AE in the shin. That said I shoot the .45ACP round the best, so thats what I carry.
Wow, you really do learn something every day. Never knew any of that on bullet diameters (and I've shot all but one of the sizes listed).
They used a very wimpy 10MM for a few months and then came up with the .40. That and only that is what made the .40 a commercial success.
...That was over 10 years ago....
I knew that I remember hearing that the some federal agency was using 10mm, but then I heard nothing after that and have never heard reference to it again. Thanks again for the info!

Yeah, he's right. The FBI tried the 10mm but then had to reduce its power, thus creating the 10mm "FBI" or "lite" load. The .40 S&W apparently is based on the 10mm lite.
