Meh, but really, what's the point? what's crunched is crunched -- for science, I mean. And with you and Mark doubling down on the Maxwells in the last few days, all hope for a tin men victory is lost...

All hail our Aluminum Allies Maxwell-folding Million+ PPD overlords.

I got my 980 running back on Dec 18th, tried to get it up for days before that. And we are still behind, but it does look like we may overtake on the last day or 2.

All hail our Aluminum Allies Maxwell-folding Million+ PPD overlords.
This could be taken several ways. I choose to take it like you are following the rules

1: Have fun.
2: Let others have fun.
3: Crunch as much as you can, as often as you can and as efficiently as you can.
4: Assimilating computers, adding members to the teams, switching teams and borghing is allowed.
5: (Sid's rule) Whistle while you work; DON'T whistle while you sip.
6: (Sid's rule) No pouting.

I've got two 7950 cards coming my way, but they likely won't get here before the race is over.

Congrats to all the milestone makers

Massive drop in our team's output a couple of days ago! Good to see a come back though .
My old C2Q keeps plodding away, well at least when I'm not playing Elite Dangerous :$, sorry guys but I've been waiting for that game to come out for 13-14yrs! , (that's also why I haven't been here much).

The race is over.
The stats are collected.
We have completed the 9th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.
Thanks for the great contribution:

Here are the stats:

Here are the numbers in a different way:

The winners of the total race are the Aluminium Allies.
The Tin Men hold a very honorable 2nd place.

The winning margin was a small 0.44%, i.e. 645 749 points.
The racers produced a total of 148 202 993 points, which is an all time high.

Looking at the graph, we have (almost) trebbled the TeAm's production compared to November, and more than trebbled compared to September and October - in fact, the December production was larger than the combined production from July to October!

The TeAm has in one week produced more points (44 691 890) than in some months (July 2014, August 2014 and September 2014).

Take a look at the numbers and enjoy! http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_summary.php?s=&t=198
Thanks for taking part and thanks for the great efforts!

And in less than 11 months we will have the jubilee race:

10th Annual Folding@Home Holiday Season Race.

C U then!

Good race! less than half a percent spread; insanely close. Congrats to the victorious Aluminium Allies.

I, for one, welcome our new MegaPPD overlords!

And of course, thanks to petrusbroder for keeping stats throughout and producing those nice graphs.

I look forward to picking it up again next year!

Thanks to Peter for organizing and keeping track of the event! I don't get as much folding done as I'd like anymore and I don't frequent the DC forum like I used to, but I really do look forward to the Annual Holiday Folding race. Gives me an excuse to fire up the machine(s) and blow the cobwebs out of them. Thanks to all who participated and Happy New Year!

Good race. I can't wait to try out my (to be delivered) pair of 7950 cards in the race next year. I'm hoping I can produce 3 million points next year.

Last year, I had a pair of 7790 cards, and produced around 2mil.

This year, I had quad GT630 cards, and variously some Q9300 w/GT630 for a little while, for 1.3mil.

first of all, thanks to Peter, well done........

To the tin men: Sorry guys. I probably cost us the race. I was not ready when we started and spent several days during the race diddling around down the proverbial rabbit hole trying to get more traction. On top of that, I resisted getting caught up in the rush for new hardware……….. ()

The good news is, I still have a few hundred extra dollars in my bank account.

Not taking anything away from our opponents, they did what they needed to do to win, but I think our team was excellent and very good across the board.

I enjoyed racing with you,..........., …………….and the other guys too……….the aluminum something-or-others…………..

hope to see everybody next year............

Thanks for a great race with great stats, Peter!

With my new 750ti I produced more points this year than in all previous years put together!

So did I, sort of. :$ I could have gotten a GTX 970, but I just couldn't justify it except for DC, and that didn't seem like enough justification at the time.

The good news is, I still have a few hundred extra dollars in my bank account.

Ditto.

Actually, I noticed RD appear in my "threats" list the other day, so I looked over his stats. I think he must have gotten a new toy at Christmas, or thereabouts.
