Holy poop! That's large. I wonder how that relates to the Lumia 1520 and the 6+.
5.2" is too big IMO. Really a shame if that's true. 2014 is a shit year for mobile. Everything went 5" or bigger. iPhone 6, Moto X 2013, and the Galaxy Alpha are so appealing for their 4.7" screen size.

In your opinion. If phone sales stagnate then maybe we can say the majority agree with you, but that doesn't look to be the case at all.
I think using sales as a true indicator or consumer preference isn't truly reflective of people's opinions. The thing is phone sizes have just been getting larger and larger. There aren't really many choices in the lower 4" sector. Even if you cite mid range/budget phones, those typically are phones that belong in the trash. Most people can tell that just by playing with them at the store. In your opinion. A true indicator would be if you had an equal specced phone at 4", 4.5", 5", and 5.5" and see what people go for.
But I do believe there is a solid group of consumers who would love a smaller phone. After all look at how much love the Z3 Compact is getting on /r/android. Practically everyone is talking about preorders there, but very few are talking about preorders for the standard Z3.
I wish they would just stop with the 1440p thing. It's such a waste of money. Most of us dont even have 1440p on our desktops, where the extra pixels would actually matter.
Is 5.9" even pocketable? Assuming regular jeans, front pocket, NOT cargo, side or back pocket.
Screen size aside, what stands out from those specs for me is the 3200 mAh battery. Might we actually get a nexus phone finally with decent battery life?
Oh, you're right. I saw some pictures of the 6+ next to the G3, and yeah, you're definitely right about that.Looks about the same size as a 6+ to me.
Well, that really changes things around. If that is the correct ratio, that means the Moto S is going to be mostly screen in comparison to the 6+.I was wondering this as well. Here's a rough comparison, used the G2 as reference to make it to scale.
EDIT: decided to add iPhone 6 Plus to image

I made two more comparison pics using the leaked front shot in the OP. It definitely looks that way. It might be slightly bigger than I am estimating from the other leak shot, but probably not significantly.
Odd - doesn't quite look like a 5.9" screen compared to the Note 3. Are you sure you used the G3 dimensions and not the G2 to make this?
It'll definitely fit. I had the Lumia 1520, and it fit in the pockets of all of my pants. The only issue I had with were gym shorts, but gym shorts aren't really meant to hold expensive devices.
