Congratulations. You have the American dream. And lost a lot of your humanity along the way.
I think his whole sense of self worth is tied up with being a conservative and that he believes that because conservative moral values supplanted real self love. He fears the loss of meaning and feeling worthless and everybody piles on him and calls him stupid. Not much of a way to encourage self awareness when what self awareness is defined by the people around you as being inhuman. I think he is quite human but fears to be and that means he lives in pain even if he doesn't know it. I wish him to know he's really OK but doesn't believe it.

Nobody is expecting her to do it in her first term, but, there is also no indication she can get it done either which is what Interchange's point is. Its also not really a new idea, and yet nobody has done it before. So maybe its worth looking for evidence of her ability beyond her getting elected?

Why bother to cast her in a negative light when the truth will be revealed in due time? Well, other than concern trolling.

I have no idea how well she might do but she clearly has many positive attributes & I hope she acquits herself accordingly.

Its not a negative light, its not any light. What is being said is that we could not expect something to be true without evidence. She has said she wants to do some really big and complex things. Politicians have a habit of offering things they cannot or will not actually give. I think its perfectly rational to question claims and offers by politicians and to look for evidence that its not only possible, but that the person can follow though with it.

What you are saying is to elect whomever has the biggest and best claim, without evidence, and then to wait and see if they follow through. You do see the long term problem with that right?

You’re the one complaining about how things will be paid for, not me.

Either you care about how things will be paid for or you don’t. Republicans just passed a $1.4 trillion tax cut and spending package financed by debt. Was that wrong of them or not? If it was wrong I sure don’t remember you complaining.
Hell, yes, it was wrong. Now let's get back to talking about the topic at hand and not playing "whatabout?!?"

One message that resonated with me was that Congress is way, way too old. They have far less time to have to live with the consequences of their decisions than younger people and that incentivized short term thinking.

For example I wonder how different members of Congress would feel about climate change if they had to live with more of the consequences? Would they want to invest more in infrastructure if they needed it to last another 60 years of their lives? Things like that.

Back when I was still doing newspaper work, it was shocking how out of touch many of the older politicians I met were. Many couldn't type, use a computer and just seemed totally out of touch with the lives of the average citizen. And don't try to demonstrate any new technology or new ideas that conflicted with their experiences growing up because they just couldn't handle it.

How the F do we expect folks so out of touch to lead us?

They call him.... The Quibbler!

He doesn't know what evil lurks in the hearts of men, so he will ask a thousand questions that never really get near that subject, except by accident.

The Quibbler! brought to you by the timekillers podcast.

Not bad. Got a good beat and I can dance to it. I'll give it an 8.

Agreed, I dont think there should be age limits but it’s definitely something to consider. Why the hell is weed still illegal? The political leadership is all 70+ years old's why. And seniors are the only ones that vote

That makes no sense. By your logic no platform of a congressional candidate is practical. That’s just not how Congress works.

::sigh:: I'm giving up here. I'm not sure if you really want to comprehend what I'm saying or if you are just looking to keep arguing against your misunderstanding of what I'm saying.

Putting words in my mouth?

She said she'd fight for those things. Nothing more. We never really know how effective a congress person will be until we elect them. And, uhh, you know, there are only 435 members of Congress so it might be too much to expect a helluva lot for any freshman rep.

He’s understood what you’re saying from the get go, Moonbeam in the only one on here that posts stuff that I can see people struggling to comprehend. But you’ve been seen as the other side so everything he posts is an attempt to "win" the arguement. Opposition nonstop, many times for no reason other than other than your seen as a political opponent so anything you say is a battle that must be won.

fskimospy is overly woke, he needs a support group

Goddam, life is good. Loser liberals tearing their party asunder, the 4th-highest ranking Democreep getting scalped by a loud-mouthed child on the same day as Kennedy retiring and a long string of SCOTUS conservative wins. Trump approval rating is around 50% and climbing. MAGA!

I was saying that's why the platform is not practical. I never meant to imply that she expected to set the national agenda. You are misunderstanding me. @realibrad got it right. But since she can't actually do what she is campaigning on, I'm interested in what she actually plans to do. That is all.

That'd be an easy guess. Vote in favor of things that help us move in that direction.

Maybe it's the 'roids...
I'll actually be starting TRT in 5-10 years, talk to me then. Currently not having any issues tho, test is through the roof as it should be. Sounds like some of you guys may need it with as much whining about 45 as you've been doing.

Anyone familiar with this book? Not sure why it popped into my head...
Lol hopefully you aren't implying that I'm Alky. That dude was a loser (albeit entertaining). I'll give him credit, at least he did work out and had a decent physique.
