Our shuttle fleet STILL being grounded is just so STUPID!!

Even knowing the odds of some kind of mishap or fatal accident, I bet you every single astronaut in either program(Russian or American.. or any other) would jump at the chance to go! Heck, even with 50/50 odds, I'd take the risk.

You know NWM, every single astronaut is WELL aware of the risks of space travel. They have guys that are chompin' at the bit
to get back into space. It's just the perception of the public that NASA is worried about. You ask the astronauts and they would
say, "Let's get back into space". They didn't sign on to the program to just train! Their sole reason for living is to get a chance to
see the world from "up there". A life long dream. I say let's give it to them. Of course, they didn't ask me.

I think if it were that serious, they'd do a little more than cut 10% of their calories. You tell me I can't go to Kroger/Safeway/A&P for a couple of months and I think I would cut out more than just going light on the butter!
