See my Akasa case thread here for one idea. I doubt I could ever force myself to spend that much on a case, but if I did, I would check out the Temjin 9 pretty closely.

Only the skin on the outside of the 180 is aluminum - it's mostly steel and plastic.

Maybe because of the weight...But the main factor is Rust.

Also my uncle has an Aluminium painting factory

Just in case i get tired of X color...

Antec P180 is $400...very very funny.

Just curious... where are you keeping your computer that causes it to rust? Every case I've had so far - all steel cases - has never rusted. The components inside should wear out long before the case rusts in normal conditions.

If you have it in a very moist or caustic environment, you're most likely going to ruin the innards first anyway.

With that being said, the Thermaltake Kandalf LCS is an excellent case. It's HUGE and HEAVY, and primarily steel. It's mainly pricey due to the liquid cooling (which is mediocre), but the case itself is definately worth the cash. Having places for tons of hard drives, large expansion cards (8800GTX fits without a problem), huge power supplies, pre-drilled water tubing holes, radiator mounts, and pump / reservoir mounts are all pros.

On the other hand, the Thermaltake Tai-Chi, and many of the high-end Lian Li cases are very popular. I haven't tried them myself, but many people swear by them.

^Nice Post

The thing is that i live 1 mile away from the coast on tropical weather...and rust appeared on my $49 Centurion (case was always opened with a deskfan blowing to the mobo)

But I want a case that is completely Aluminium and damn pretty at the same time.

I was looking at the Lian Li's...hope to get a feedback soon.

Yeah, the frame of my old Enlight case corroded pretty good in Florida w/o much AC in the summer. The painted cover didn't get too bad but I almost never left the cover on for cooling purposes..

Aluminum corrodes in salty air too unless it is anodized or otherwise protected.

Haha Dude, way to get crappy when you were too lazy to even to a slightly more extensive search...

I Just got the TJ09 and the build was the most pleasurable build I have ever had. Room for everything, air movement over everything that needed it, and so much wonderful engeneering that I feel like the case was made for me. I got really sick buying cheap cases and breaking knuckles and settling for heat problems.

Another  WAY UP for the Silverstone Temjin TJ09 !

The CoolerMaster Praetorian 730 is another nice case if you like a hinged front door. At roughly half the price of the TJ09, this case is nearly as rugged, and has a removable motherboard tray as well as very nice fans, incl. LEDs.

Note the use of the word rugged. Many aluminum cases do not fit that description, and this is one of the big factors that sets the TJ09 and the Praetorian 730 apart from others. Both also feature impeccable fit and finish, although I would definitely recommend avoiding the black version of either case if you have even a moderately dusty environ. You will swear you can see every single speck of dust. I warned a friend for whom I was building a rig and he didn't listen ... now his wife makes him dust their computer room/den !

The Gigabyte Aurora is a nice case too, but look at the 570 version if you want to have plenty of room for anything.

Try the Lian Li PC-767 or the PC-75. Take a look at Performance-PC's for a better selection of Lian Li's.

My three computer cases are Lian-Li's. Oldest 7yrs, newest 2 yrs.
I once had those monstrous steel towers and after trying to lug them around, I decided to get aluminum.
After getting a LL PC-60, I was impressed by the quality of construction and other features. The price was a little high at that time but I've became a careful shopper and found deals on cases and shipping; I live in Hawaii.
All new cases ordered for my clients and students are LLs. You can get some really good deals if you google for them.

The stainless is all on the outside - the frame will still rust in the environment the OP inhabits. I can't imagine that he hasn't had functional problems due to the salt air as well as chassis rusting.
