Hmmm might want to rethink how you typed that.

You a EE major at UT?
Or are you one of those dirty CS students who hole up in those basement labs?
I get lost in ENS
For the past few weeks, when I come home, this black cat sneaks in my door. I don't even see him jump inside half the time. He's good at being sneaky. I have to spend the next 10-20 minutes getting the cat out of my apartment. He goes and hides under my bed or couch.
How do I get this cat to stop it without hurting the stupid thing?

Oh yeah, its fine. Not hungry at all. It has a collar, but no identification at all. Its just doing this to be playful.
Like I said, I'm pretty sure its owners live around here. Lots of people have cats, but most of them wait outside their owner's apartment. This one likes to go into peoples apartments just for fun, or at least I think that's why.
Fasten a note to the collar telling the owner about the problem. He/she is probably not even aware that the cat gets into other people's homes.
Good idea, but I don't know how the owners will restrict where the cat will and won't go when it's outside

By not keeping it outside without supervision? Here it's actually against the law to keep cats or dogs outside without supervising them
Here in the US, it's commonplace to let your car out and wander as it pleases. I'm not sure how you'd supervise them other than by keeping them on a leash, but I agree with the sentiment of being responsible for your own pet  And once a cat is used to being an "outdoor cat" I don't know how difficult it would be to make it a house cat once again.
