a CDR questiion

hey I got an external CDR a few years back its a Ryobbe 2x1x6 (I know its old) I was looking at it and I think it looks like its a standard CDR in a external IDE adapter box. can I take it out and make it an internal drive?

P.S. the reseason I want to do this is the plugin on the power cable had a pin brake and I got it rigged up now but it ain't to reliable (power is interuped if you bump it)

If you open the case and track the outer connections to the drive proper, you should see if it has the essentials . . . a 40-pin IDE connector and a 4-pin power connector, and jumpers for M or S.

If that is what you find . . . then the answer is probably yes.

ok would I have to go hunt down any other drivers other than the ones that came with my CDR? also what are those jumpers and where are they located
