I have the PS connected to the mainboard, the hard drive, the processor fan and the CD drive. When I turn the power on, nothing happen ---- Did I miss something? Do I have to any jumper setting or adjustment to the mobo?

Did you try putting some RAM in? The system won't power up without a CPU or RAM. Also check to make sure the Case wires are properly connected to the MoBo.

I got that same Case today (actually, just went to Fry's because my 400W Powersupply went *Poof* last night and decided to get all the freebies since I had to wait in line for 1 hour). The PS works great in my system configured as such:

ECS K7S5A v3
AMD 1600+
CDRom Drive
CDRW Drive
ATI 7500 Video
120 GB HD
512MB PC133
3 CASE FANS
ThermalTake CPU FAN.

The PS seems to be running like a champ for the past 2 hours. Just in case, I went ahead and ordered a 400w case online and will make the 300w one a backup. Good luck getting yours up and running.

BTW, Fry's ran out of rebate forms for their $5.00 PCI Lan Adapter. Anyone got a link or scan?

Also, on that $25 Soyo Case, what am I supposed to send in with the rebate form & receipt? The rebate form is so crappy, I can't read it, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't say UPC. The box doesn't have a UPC, so do I send in the Price Sticker?

Can anyone who got the Soyo SM, CF Bay One reader(3362562) and the Cold Cathode kit(3514614) PM the rebate forms to me. The cashier gave me the wrong ones. Thanks in advance.

At the Fremont Fry's, they ran out of the 80GB Maxtor drives, so they dropped the price on the 120GB Western Digital SE drives with 8MB cache down to $169 from $199. This drive also has $80 in rebates, so the end price for the drive works out to about $90 + tax. I got one and after rebates I'll be out $104 including taxes. Not a bad deal at all.

I just got back from the Burbank, CA FRY'S. I gave up! I spent an hour in the check out line and only made it a third of the way. When I left the fire department was there and wouldn't let anyone else in. What a mess!

I was in that line for about 2 hours
I got a lot of FAR stuff like 64 MB usb thumb drive, NIC, 300 watt ATX case....my buddy and I took turns waiting in line...that place was insane

I went to the Palo Alto Fry's. JAHEZUZ...the line was long, stood for 3 hours to pay. I scored an 80mb Maxtor drive with free 256MB 133 ram for $49. It was a blessing that i was late going there (around 11:00 am) because they were restocking some more 80MB maxtor drives, which they ran out of that morning. Also got $19 128 Simpletech CF card, $19 USB + External firewire ports, FAR 56k internal modem, a few DVDs.

Can anyone scan the ad (not the rebates, thanks ton) for the $49 80mb maxtor HD? The reason for the request is because there are two rebates, if one of the rebates is rejected by mxtor, i can go to Fry's to straighten things out because their Advertised price was $49. thanks. Oh yeah, i asked the salesguy what to do with rebates because they require orig UPC's, he said to mail the both rebates at the same time along with the orig UPC to the address. I dont know how reliable that is.

Pretty much exact same thing happened to me. I got to the Palo Alto Fry's at 8 am (set my alarm clock to 6 and decided to sleep in-stupid me!). I got the 80GB maxtor with the free ram (piece of s*** ram, btw. I bet it won't even work). Also got the $39 dvd player (no rebate!), media card usb 2.0 drive bay FAR, Icewind Dale II for $19, Robotech Battlecry for X-Box for $9 (I don't even have an X-Box! (yet!)), 56k modem FAR). Pretty good haul, but deeeyammmn, 3 hour line really sucked! It was because when the store opened, Fry's was understaffed and they only had a few registers going. major scheduling snafu for Black Friday! If you're still planning on going and you can't find some of the sale goodies, just wander around the store. You'll be sure to find some items in random isles that people discard from their carts.

I got the FAR digital media/usb bay thing at the frys in santa clara. The guy didnt give me a rebate form, he just had me write my name on an envelope and he put the rebate reciept in it. He said I should get it in a few days. I'm kind of worried though, as this seems like a shady way to handle rebates. Did this happen to anyone else?

For my $5 NIC rebate, they took a copy of my reciept, name & work fax number ( I don't have a fax @ home). They said they'd fax a copy to me.... I'm not holding my breath.

Well, I survived Black Friday @ Fry's today. It was real crazy, but I managed to come out with a some dvd deals, cdrs, and new car deck (wasn't on sale, got one anyways ). It was madness though. There was a waiting line outside the store's front door just to get in. It took about 10minutes just to get inside the store! Then the line to purchase went around the entire store (no kidding!), I had to wait about 3 hours to buy my stuff! (I'm serious!). But I pulled through...

I got up this morning and was at Fry's at 6:45am at the Fremont store. I went straight for the back toward the hard drives and had a Maxtor along with the free ram. I also had the 6in1 card reader in hand. Stood in line for 45 min and moved about 50ft. The line was a nightmare. I had to get out of there by 8:30, so I left, trying to hide the few items I had. I thought I had the perfect hiding place and had planned to come back in the afternoon. I made it back about 3pm. Sure enough, the drive was gone. So I had to scour the store for more stuff. I found a Visor Edge right away. Found the 6in1 reader I left behind before. Found the $1 photo paper. And also found the 64MB USB drives lying around on a shelf. I also got the 128MB CF that I had ordered earlier in the morning. Since they ran out of the Maxtor HD, they gave me a raincheck. So I ended up getting most of the things I wanted. The line was even worser in the afternoon than in the morning. I got out by 6pm. Next year I'll plan it differently.

Didn't make it to any other store...(not true, did make it to BB to PM a DVD)...there just wasn't enough time set aside to do anything else.

Fry's is the brothel of the electronics universe, and I feel oh so dirty.

I went there to the Oregon store at about 5pm and the place was a freaking zoo just like everywhere else. Jesus christ, is everyone in America fat? I wandered around and found that they sold 650 of those FAR cases today in about one hour. There was also two fights in the store, not sure if they were fist fights or yelling matches between dorks. Nothing that seemed of any value to me was left in stock, although they did have killer deals on 120 gig WDSE drives ($90) and lots of drives. I thought I would stroll through the Aisles and pick through the detritus that people cast aside on their waiy to the registers, and I found a 64 meg FAR pocket drive. Sh!t, after an hour and a half in line listening to dorks argue about how this was or wasn't the biggest line at Fry's ever, I am home again.

I did not get that particular rebate also. Anyone get this rebate form at all? How many they have in store, i'm wondering? Since they have inventory of all items on computer, you'd think that they at least printed/copied enough rebate the day before. I even went to a different store they did not have it there either.

If anyone have one of this scanned, post it some where or mail it to me. I'll try to get it posted somehow....

I just called the Wilsonville, OR store - they have the same Maxtor 80 Gig/PC133 Memory deal.

Drive is OOS, but rain checks are being given....I assume it's the same for all products.

Heading out now for a "leisurely" shopping experience.
Wrong. I was there from 3-4pm and they still had hundreds of the drives in stock. Got one along with the RAM, sweet deal. Be warned that the RAM is some crappy generic brand, but the drive more than makes up for it.
Store was packed but not bad. Check-out line was about an hour but my GF and I worked that by having one of us wait in line while the other shopped
The rebates go to same address and Maxtor and rebateshq are handling them. The people at Fry's said that Maxtor had approved the deal and to mail the rebates in the same envelope. Hope it works.

It was a zoo at Dallas Fry's too. Stupid me got there at 8:30am. Saw the checkout line snaked all over the store weaving all over the computer dept. I snagged a couple of good free after rebate deals but the kicker was when I got in line. The line moved like 10 ft. after half an hour. Didn't think it was worth the hassle so I ditched and bailed. Whoever picked up my loot I hope it was another ATer. Sheeesh. Next year I'm gonna be there at 7am open and will recruit a partner and do a test run the night before. The goal is to get in, grab the loot and get out in 15min.

I went to the one at Fremont around 7am. Got out of there around 12:30 noon. The line was crazy!!! It took me about 30 minutes to grab the stuffs and on queue for the rest of the time.

I think Fry's can avoid this long queue if they open more counters and organize the rebate forms nicely.

When they opened, there were only 6-7 counters operates for the first couple hours. When I was checking out at around noon, it took me about 15-20 minutes!!! The lady scanned all my items pretty fast and I signed for my credit card, all this done in a few minutes. However, the lady has to go and find the rebate forms for me and this took her more than 10 minutes! She even got frustrated since she can't find one of my rebate forms until another person helped her.

um. okay. guess they say wake up early for a reason X(
woke up at like 8:30 got to fry's at 9:00a. took 30 minutes to park. line was about 200 people long (wrapped around whole store). each customer avg 1 minute. all I saw was a clie for $129, which is $149 on sony's website anyway. so 200 minutes of wait > saving $20 + max $20 for shipping. what a waste of 2 hours.

I spend my whole morning living in Fry's industry today, I woke up at 5:30 get to fry's industry at 6:20 and wait, right before it open at 7, it start rainning and I thought " stupid me forgot to bring a newspaper to cover myself". I just got a little wet before I can enter the store and the guy behind me said they saw only 3 shopping carts left when they take it. Everything need to wait, 5 min fight to grab a maxtor 80G hd, 30 min to get a sales order, 20 min for a rain check, don't know what is it for so I did not wait. Walking around the store for 1 hr to make sure I grab everything I need. Finally I have to search 20 min to find out the end of the line to pay for my things. 2 hr 45 min wait for cashier. I got a lot of stuff, I think. I got soyo case, 6in 1 reader, 40x cd-rw, hd & 256SDRAM, cheap keyb and mouse, free webcam, 128 SDRAM, Apex DVD, basically that's all I want to get. The guy who work at maxgroup standing in front of me said he went to best buy and only 25 HD available, that really make me feel happy 'cos I made a good decision to goto frys first instead of bestbuy or walmart first. I finally got out of the store to see the cloudy sky at about 1PM. BTW, 6AM at walmart's parking lot was already full, people has to goto homedepot cross the street or nearby parking to find a spot. What a shopping day.
I got "LEI" cheapset for the 256mb SDRAM free with Maxtor HD, and Hynix for the 128mb SDRAM, did anyone luckily get better brand than my, FYI, memory only got 15 return, so better burn-in with a BBQ grill to make sure they are not going to die on the 16th day after you get it.
