Hey guys,
I'm currently using Jamo S506 speakers paired with a Yamaha RX-V650. I've got my Pioneer DV-717 hooked up to the receiver via analog and my X-Fi XtremeMusic also via analog (the green output). I'm quite satisfied with the sound quality but I want to get the most of this system.
First, is this the best way to connect the soundcard to the receiver (though I think it doesn't have coax out)
Second, will I benefit in terms of sound quality if I hook up the dvd player via coax or optical?
Third, would it be better if I bi-wire the speakers ? (atm I'm using some 21mm diameter speaker cables that look good and I noticed an improvement over my previous cables) I can use my old cables for the highs and my current ones for the mids/lows, will this improve the sound quality? Can I bi-amp the speakers with two separate channels for the lows and two for the mids/highs? Is this even possible with my receiver?
Other tips would also be most appreciated!
Thanks guys!
