There's something wrong about seeing old ass men with their face painted and dressed like that. When they first came out, okay it looks stupid but they're young so they can get away with it. Sort of like when I was in Jr High Too Short was 17 and saying "beeeeeeyaaaach!" it was the shit, now he's 45 with a goatee full of gray hairs and he's still saying "beeeeeyaach!"? that shit's just silly now.

It so happens that those face paintings still bring them much mullah and groupies.

Kiss was cool when I was 6 in 1977 - then I moved on to AC/DC by 8. Grow up.

Quite pathetic that people have to come in here just to bash a band when they could have easily avoided the thread altogether.

OP was obviously excited about the concert and wanted to share some pics, then you have these obvious troll douchebags coming in here to shit all over everything.

That being said, I've never been a huge KISS fan by any means, but I admire their work and their strength over the years. And I've always liked Gene Simmons ever since seeing him as the villain in the movie Runaway with Tom Selleck back in the 80s

Doesn't matter, I'm not claiming to be the be the God of RAWK.
Just because they've sold X million albums doesn't mean shit, except people will buy anything.
This is, after all, the same society that allows someone to neatly package a common rock and make a great deal of money.

And who would have thought bottled water was going to be a gold mine?

but you're all wrong about KISS, they rock. they are pioneers and still kicking around
after all these years is quite an accomplishment.

nice pics shiner!

Too bad that is only half of KISS. Who was playing Peter Criss and Ace?

Eric Singer & Tommy Thayer

Gene and Paul chose to not renew Criss' contract as his ability to play is shot. All you have to do is listen to some recordings from their tour in 2000 to hear that. Sad, but a fact of life.

Ace is gone again because he fell back into his old 70's habits and went down the drug path hard again. He missed several shows and was fucking things up when he was there so Gene and Paul did away with him again. Ace just put out a solo album and is supposedly clean again. Hoping so because the guy is a great talent.

For all the haters...think what you want. KISS is a rock n roll icon and put on a helluva show. No preaching at the audience, no pretending to want to solve all the world's problems, they just show up and put on a great show and everyone has a good time.

Nice pics, glad you had fun. Screw the people who drag this down, it seems to be the status quo around here for anything.

KISS is an icon. You can not like their music, and that is fine, but you have to admit they have had a huge impact on music. I used to listen to their music a lot back then because I was in middle school when they were their hottest in the mid 70's. Every kid loved them back then. We would all get together and pool our records and listen.

It is only recently I have started listening to them again 40 years later and I have to say they did make some good music, even if that genre of music is not something I listen to much.

I agree completely. I don't like them at all anymore, but when I was little they were my absolute favorite band. They were HUGE back in the day. Movies, cartoons, trading cards, dolls... I still have a photo album somewhere filled with pictures and memorabilia I had collected. Everybody liked KISS when I was growing up, you didn't even have to ask.
