A four step guide to Global Warming

For the record, a four step guide to Global Warming.

1. Global CO2 emissions increase CO2 parts per million in the atmosphere.
2. CO2 traps solar energy in the atmosphere, more CO2, more heating from the sun.
3. Our ocean is a giant heat sink. It absorbs almost all the energy.
4. Every so often, particularly during super El Nino, the ocean spits a small portion back into our faces.

Conclusion, after each step increase, our global temperature never returns to the highs, lows, or averages of the previous step in the cycle. Every super El Nino event makes the Global Warming trend that much more obvious.

Test: Our average global temperature will never return to the baseline from before 2016, let alone 1997.
Proof: UAH Satellite for Global Temperature.

Add in that rising temps are melting permafrost and that is releasing methane into the air which further speeds up the cycle.

I strongly disagree. Jaskalas is clearly a fundamentally conservative person but he shows an openness to new ideas that everyone here - everyone should admire.

We can call it what we want, but Global Warming specifically fits with the argument and the data I presented in the OP. It's precisely the argument that was made. Where as "Climate Change" would be in reference to all sorts of various side effects as well as the main point. Let's face it, in lieu of discernible atmospheric warming between super El Nino events, there was room for the public to question "warming" so "change" sounded better for PR reasons.

Doesn't alter the validity of the original point, or its name. There is a very discernible 4 step increase in temp. It is definitively warming.

Me? I tried my hand at presenting a solid counter argument. The facts panned out against me, particularly when up against Paratus and then when the latest super El Nino advanced the apparent step increase in temperature. An increase which OBLITERATES all notion of Joe Bastardi's ocean cycle theory. It was a nice try, some pieces fit at the time, but they ultimately crumbled. Factually bankrupt.

There will be nothing resembling scientific opposition until temperatures cool down off the step increase, although the baseline following 1998 is nothing to brag about. What would really sell a challenge is returning to the 1990s baseline. But such notions are pure fantasy at this point. Nothing indicates that we'll ever see those temperatures again.

You probably take note as this is likely my first topic created on the subject since I threw in the towel. There were a number of posts in other people's topics in the past several years, and I thank those who participated and took notice. Our contest was memorable. In this case I had it in my mind to piece together a short and potent demonstration. Bait for anyone still willing to challenge the status quo. Though I must admit the Satellite Temperature must look quite intimidating.

Oh well, the poll appears to be doing well in that regard.

I can imagine us getting to such detailed specificity at some point in the future, but we're probably talking generations. In the meantime they're working on making it taste... reasonable. Or rather... indistinguishable in the ground up and processed variety. If it's safe, healthy, and tasty it'll be all the rage for high tech "farming".
