well fish since i know you have a p4

an abit Bd7 or bh7 are good

most asus boards are good (p4b533 is one of the best)

And since you have ddr 2100 i would also maybe be looking into some new ram if you want to reach fsb speeds above 133 (2.26ghz on your 1.7)
as ddr 2700 is 266mhz which is 133x2 anything above 133fsb is gonna be overclocking your ram also and im not sure that crucial pc 2100 is gonna be able to go much past its rated speed (ofcoarse i could be wrong)

Could you recommend something cheaper? I have Athlon XP 1700+ and DDR 333 memory and I don't need anything faster. I mean I don't need anything for DDR 400 !

I picked up a abit kx7-333R reasonably priced from the for sale/trade forums. One fellow has a Iwill 333 motherboard for 40$ over there, it is an alimajik chipset that overclocks well. It can involve a lot of messing around, but over at amdmb.com, there is an entire section devoted to those mobos. People have gotten bartons to work on them.

Soltek SL-75FRN NForce2... best bang for buck on the AMD side of things.

for Intel.... I still maintain the P4B533 being an absolutely great mobo.. and is about the same price as the Soltek.
